Well hunts may only be used as hunter guild points, but they are necessary for a strong character. And with no leisure hunts by level 8 and up, all hunts will be red or yellow, so you will have to wear artifacts anyway.
And if all level fives can't afford tier 1 upgrade, its equal, right?
Bottom line is, whatever happens, it affects everyone equally, so...what is the problem? |
My problem is that I can't switch away from my necro and boost some other faction with skillpoints to make it good. It simply is to hard now. They lowered skills points gain to much. Don't you yourself find it irritating to lose a close hunt or merc. quest only to find that you get "rewarded" with 0.03 SP? |
looks like i will have to decline all army quests then... totally waste of arts. it wastes even more than hunts since hunts with arts still means winning the battle, but army, you know that you lose but you still have to use arts |
i got a question...
admin gave us afew days to prepare for min AP implement. but, on other hand, admin (i assume) had remove most of mercury and gem away from stock.
we had spend afew weeks to stop those monopolizers to monopoly the resources and pump the stock back to 12k. but, after the upgrade, all 12k resources gone. it doesnt appear that someone bought out since it need alot gold for 12k mercury and gem AND we dont see any gold in the facilities.
so, what we have here? a request on ready for min AP implement while admin remove the stock ? no resources to get artifact to prepare? |

Just one worry
I think many of the chances are great. But I'm do think that it is unfair that you get almost no skillpoints for losing. I think it is top notch that we get experience for losing, because then people will not loose on purpose. But I think its a bit tough to get 0,1 skill points after allmost beating a tough enemy.
shouldn't killing 90% of a toughgive 0,25 or something?

I tend to agree with Irreps (switching faction at high level is even harder now) and iron_eagle (some mercenary quests, for example Army of XXX ones, become complete waste of time.)
If characters like Wild_Shooter were really the issue at hand, then Administration could have dealt with differently - for example, by capping faction level to combat level. But the way it's implemented now, it's just like locking you even further in your current faction and punishing people for not winning. But you don't always lose because of cold calculations. You sometimes lose simply because you faced superior odds, and odds are easily superior if you had the strange idea to try something different with your character, like a new faction.
I find sad that we don't even know what problems Administration tried to resolve in the first place.
The harder faction switching is, the more players are inclined to register multiple characters to discover all possibilities - and literally inclined to use a feature being the top tool for cheating in this game. |
Albertsen is right... I've just lose against one bone dragon monster... he had no more than 400 life points (he normally has 5400 life points).. and i took 110 exp points and 0,01 faction points... absolutely unfair.
And about mercenary missions, "army of (whatever)" will become a kind of waste of time and resources.
Someone said that this is the way in which things go in Russian server. But we are not Russian, the major part I think. We can also use our brains, if something don't fit to us... we can have our differences. |
wild shooter would have a huge advantage in a tourney.
easier solved by matching faction lvls together instead of combat lvls for tourneys.

this low faction pt reduction is lame. is it to combat unfair tournaments? heck, weve only had 1 since ive been here!

who does it hurt that a player wants to suicide all the time?!
suiciders aren't trying to be a dominant force in pvps..they just want to 'play' a 'game' in an interesting maner. probably not even enguage in pvp or tournaments.

luckas made a great point. kill 5000hp of a 5400 critter and recieve 0.01 faction pts. as if,
this kills the fun of the game.

as i browse around, i notice some have written on their profiles that theyve quit the game. even the richest person i know of on here has said they quit.

LOL! Now I took a look in the artifact shop for artifacts for combat level 7 and I wonder once again how in the world the AP could help the in-game economy... The arts for combat level 7 can be bought only from the artifact shop. This thing is a really stupid thing. I suppose, dear admins, before introducing rules, more urgent thing to revive the in-game economy would be to introduce more production factories, for God sake! Gosh, I feel like a zombie after a hunter was killing my kinfolks! (enraged) :D
This post is for those who said that the AP rule will bring more money in the factories. For those: what in the world do you get from the admins to say such stupid things? I hope that they don't come from you (especially if you are high level!) because I don't know how you reached that level? Or maybe that's why you want that rule, to help your "great strategy" as warriors. |
And it is absolutely NOT TRUE, when you say that these changes affect everyone the same way. Yes, it could affect everyone if this was a new server. But now you are forcing people to earn lot of exp and it is less possible to make your level in hunters guild and racial skill. So I will be level 8-9 very quickly and meet the older players, some of them will have 2-3 higher hunters guild level..it means +3 attack, some of them have 2-3 racial skill of every faction, that means 9% less damage taken from my creatures. Yes, it will be much fun dealing with those guys. Now when everybody has a great faction skill you stop every means of earning it. So I was wrong when I thought two weeks ago I could just stop for a moment, hunt a bit, assist without earning experience and boost my faction skill a bit so I can catch up with the other player and have fair competitions with them. |

I am frustrated myself waiting for December 21st to know if I will continue here or I will wait for HMM kingdom version. At least there I invest some money in some fun. Here with the most of the new rules I feel like a slave or playing bad version of Tycoon (or whatever name has that game). |

Bcos, most ppl take 3 attempts to win the army. Before the update, u could get about 0.1-0.3 skill points when u lose... and the big 0.5 skill points with some exp when u win. Now, when u lose u only get... about 0.01 skill points |
take for example army of necro(the hardest of all armies) {7}. imagine that you take 5 attempts to do it, so, how many durability that you waste? 5! now that a lot of waste right? thats why i'm planning to decline this quest |
Before the rule change, when I fight Army of.....(5 attempts), usually I don't wear arts on 1st and 2nd round. I only wear arts starting on 3rd round, and usually I can kill them all in this 3rd round. This way I can save durability a little bit.
But I won't pass to fight an Army (after the rule change). Because from experience, from 6 Army MQ, I've got 4 elements.
I am not sure if I was so lucky or it has something to do with 10 Reputation and wearing full arts to beat them. The army was quite hard because the Guild offer more than 400 golds. |
