Last important info about update was few pages earlier. And after that same debate going.
And clearly whatever we say and whatever facts we present you not going to change your opinion.

I'm sure by now admins would have known how bad this update was. Clearly they will also be monitoring how many new players have joined or how many active players have increased. Also they must monitoring that cg participation has increased.

thats what happens when you start a new main character: you "alt" cannot be higher level then main

I was asking the question why he got banned. Actually, the whole conversation is quite important.

@Arcanide: You are right. I posted with my alt and asked Mellor and Edwin kindly to remove it as it is a violation of the rules.

My two cents as a player who has started in 2008 on the English server (The 2008 character is long dead...).

The game is undergoing rapid changes in the last year. Some will like it, some don't.

As a PVE player, I do get annoyed by LG (it is biased towards paying players). Some changes are welcome, other don't. Each has it's own taking on the subject.

Personally, the pace is faster than it was used to be. Maybe to attract younger players.

It is yet remain to be seen how these changes unfold.

It's interesting how the new formula treats fsl.

The question really becomes, if you have to get faction points, where do you put them.
Main faction
- Grows slowly
- Gives benefits when using faction.
- Huge stat buff and exp buff when crossing over to next level.
- No benefits when not playing faction. This is important since you may be using PoS all the time in CG after hitting fsl13, but still suffer from extra exp.

Side faction
- Grows quickly
- Gives benefits when enemy the same faction as you, other than hunts.
- Very small exp buff for every level increase

For now, I'm going to get fsl13 in Necro. It's gonna give me a perma buff in exp, but I think the stat increase will be worth it for tournaments, or events where I play necro.
Uggh, I think I preferred when they just countered faction skill points rather than faction levels.
i would highly recomend NOT getting fsl 13 in main. it is HUGE boost in the exp formula and you would add probably another 200% exp to the exp you already get per battle. better to get fsl 12 in everything first

It looks like they updated the formula and it's using the PoS fsl as your main fsl. It doesn't matter if you are fsl13 or 12 anymore. For all cl 19s, we're getting 35 stats points (fsl 13) as the main instead of 33 (fsl 12). My xp penalties jumped from 21% to 127%.


I don't get the logic of this change to how the formula is working particularly. If this is the case then all people of any combat level are getting the same boost. Therefore this is a constant, and so may as well not be included within the formula.

Of course this change then means that when the PoS gives a higher level for the next CL, it will artificially move up the average for that combat level and mean that the gap between the previous level is larger. This in turn will make it less likely that someone of the lower CL is pumped. Reversely, for someone in the CL where they have a highest Faction level that is lower than the one given from PoS, then this will push up their points, without seeing the same corresponding increase in the next CL, and as a result push them to be more pumped.

I guess however, what this means is that there is no disincentive from raising the FL for your main, which to be honest seems like something which should not be discouraged.

I wonder to what extent however that whole clause is needed. Could then not just simply remove the highest FL aspect of it all, it does not seem to add a particularly large function in my mind.

Dude you are player of level 20 and yet you have stats weaker than a pumped level 16 player.

Clearly, you have no motivation of playing cg fights and have to be against whatever admins do. And, what admin doing as a good of promoting new players to keep playing and not quit because of camping super pumped players in every combat level.
for Jassi: I never look at things if it benefits me or not. I always look at things from a neutral point of view to see what's healthy for a game. This update is as you noticed clearly advantageous for me, but it is heavily unfair to those that have poured in years and practically their life into this game. And how many of them are there anyway? 1% of the playerbase or even up to 5%? You mean to tell me we needed this update for the 95-99% to be able to compete with that 1-5%? That is ludicrous.


And that new players are joining is a real faulty one. We can all see on top right how many people are online. During the day (European time) it's always around 4500+ and towards the night around 3000 that keeps going down the later it gets. This has been the case for months now. Had there indeed been 'new' players and not newly opened multis by current players then we should have seen a rise in the online people, sadly this has not been the case. Anyone saying otherwise clearly need to pay attention to the top right numbers. Otherwise it would be delusional.
