i have fought 2 battles against dark elves so far and i won 1 of them (barely)

what i did with my demon against de to win was,
-take retal of ladons,
-attack ladons with all troops until it was ladons turn,
-then went and took hydra retal, (somwhere else on battlefield, so that ladon retal dont kill all my troops)
-then attack hydra with all troops until it was hydras turn
-then retal on ladons and repeated till they were dead
fear attack and aura helped alot, DE was my hardest fight |

| lol, DE's thoughest opponents are nightmares, clerics and archliches. Ladons are overrated in this tournament. Also people make mistakes in attacking ladons first instead of hydras.. Hydras must die first no matter what.. |
| whoever knowing how to use stoneskins with their clerics smartly would be very hard to beat. I think only smart archliches have some chance. |

| hiddenshadow>> you meen that you should kill hydras first? why not take out the hardest target first (ladons) and then deal with the easy target later (hydra)... remember that clerics and hydra have the same hp.. but clerics hit harder most of the time when blessed :) |
One thing I saw that too many clerics liked to bless their monks first.
But monk has only 9-12 dam, whose low dam is too low to bless. I would have
some single clerics to bless but my 7 clerics will save mana to haste and
stoneskin themselves or monk up to who's standing on the front. The stongskin
is huge in this tourament, 9 def meaning -40% dam to be taken. |

the battles you showed doesn't prove anything, your opposing factions had no chance anyways.
Hydras and Ladons have similar damage/attack, hydras have much worse defence and HP, who to kill is clear.
Another mistake people making vs DE are retalling when all stacks are around, hydras and ladons don't deal unimaginable damage if you don't feed them to it. |

Hydra's dam is only 7-14, same as monks 9-12.
The group attack is the reason why all think they are good melee. |
my final result as DE:
Battle count: 10 (10) Points: 10
- one battle against barbarian, demon, elf, wizzard
- two battles against DE, knight, necro
- barbarian, wizzard, elf, knight - quite easy to beat
- both DEs were unpatient, gave me first strike, otherwise it would be heroes party
- I got to move against demon on due time (somewhere among fear and morale lack :-D)
- toughest opponents were necros, but they didn't use best tactics.
My evaluation of chances against strong opponents:
Demon 70%
Necro 40% (yes, I think they have better chances)
DE 50%
Frequent mistake of DE - seperating troops. It's a nonsence. |
