Also, I wanna add that people who truly love PvP should welcome this change, rather than complain about it.
Think about it. Would you enjoy beating someone who is level 15 as a level 16 player in a 1v1 situation? I know I wouldn't because it would not have any meaning. I believe it would take a very special kind of fool to enjoy that sort of battle. When you have a big differential between two players, in effect you have two players of different combat levels fighting each other, so it's not any different.
Personally, when I face someone who has 7-8 stats more than me, I will always try my best at first although, after losing, I'm able to think it was due to their stats and be done with it. But when I lose to someone who is closer to me stat wise (d<4), then I will usually try to understand how I could have played better and watch the other player's battles to see how they do it. That's what PvP should be about. It's fun only when there is real competition.
I realize I'm too focused on PVP in this comment rather than other consequences this change will have but I can hardly pretend to care about events at this point. It is what it is.
100% my sentiment.
This basically means that my ignoring LG and WG is gonna be just fine :D |
Thanks Slayer.
I think this game should get to a point where you get face difficult hunts for fun without having to calculate ratios.
In fact they could do away with stats from guilds and I'd be perfectly fine.
I think we're getting there now. |
Yay I'm not pumped at all as per https://daily.heroeswm.ru/progress/Prozyk.
This is great. Just gotta wait now for all those pumped to move up levels.
What is your point? It is admins who designed something like that to make it possible, it is us who decide to use the advantage, they do not have the right to just snatch our time and money away like this
TBH, they are throwing you under the bus. And that surprises me since stat monsters are also heavy donators.
But I think this is a necessary step for the game to survive. Rights having nothing to do with anything. Your donations bought you years of fun. Rejoice with that, nothing lasts forever. |
I think you are somewhat missing the point of the update even though you understood it perfectly. The point of this update is not to make things equal, but fairer. What this essentially does is to put an invisible ceiling for stats because there comes a point where you have to level up before you gain another stat. So good players with knowledge of the game will still enjoy benefits and advantages and noobs will still be noobs. The purpose is not to remove the advantages but to limit it. If every single player have the same number of stats at the same level, then the argument of "Communism" would be valid imo. Players paying to gain an advantage is a no-brainer in every single game, so by making everyone equal, nobody would donate.
You should look at the amount of money Dota rakes in without giving any advantage to donaters. |

They're saying that this change does not make everyone equal, it only minimizes the massive differences between chars of same combat level that became possible with the old system of exp gain. |

it's not a "no-brainer" to have donation imply in-combat advantage, since one of the biggest games out there chooses to not do this. |
honestly. they would just come out with a couple more fun game modes. more things to do more gold spent on arts and more donations to keep up.
STs running. pvp tournaments. events, solo and clan. make some new map mode where there is an invasion happening in the ungovernable step. etc. there is soo much they can do. if someone is ever on this game and thinks to themself.. i have nothing to do. then thats a problem |
What keeps donations flowing are castle building, events, roullette, clan wars, dia skipping, UCI(not atm tho), people spamming GB, QT with enchanted sets imperials and stuff.
Not sure if dia skipping from tryhards is much of a factor.
ST in fact is not a gold drain, but gold is being created there. |
Where is your UCI latviesu? |

Bingo. |

I know. What bothers me is that the advantages remain but the optimal way to get them has changed. And it is not possible to fully adapt existing characters to these changes. Currently, the actions you take with your character have a fairly permanent effect so it makes it hard for admins to experiment with changes without angering their players. I think my proposal would help with this.

I don't think this is true. In many games, players donate for prestige, cosmetics or to save time. Additionally, this game still has donation arts that give an advantage. There's also the entire economic aspect of the game that would remain mostly the same and is important for clans and FFA events. I think there can be enough incentives for donations.
Some days, I really want to play TG, MG HG, CG or whatever else for fun but I am forced to not play because if I played too much without any reason (MG day, Hunters' Day etc), I will level up too quickly and guilds like WG and LG which depends on camping would get left behind.
Yes! That's what I would like to see. Let us have our fun the way we like it without hurting our characters permanently.
I think the easiest thing is to make LG give no stats. That's it.
I don't think this is enough. These recent changes should already mostly remove the stats problem - because you can get the stats allowed by the point system from another guild. In games the basic way of earning gold is playing. Enrolling once per hour is easily the worst concept I have seen in any game.

Yes! There's already two of us. |
I would argue that people with the time to play this game and the disposable income to pump their characters have a pretty damn good life. No life indeed! They are doing exactly what they want to do every day. |

Guy who created them was from ukraine. |

I agree with that, here players are taking 2 extreme sides from the update, while they can come into an agreement right in the middle. While I was against the update, I totally agree it was very much needed to close the gap between the 2 types of players to attract new players and more participation in cg, but on the other hand, it was not necessary to punish any group of players who did what was absolutely allowed and if I may say promoted by the admins themselves in the first place which is pumping their chars. I can say we are basically disappointed mainly because admins took our time to let us get “an upper hand by having more stats” (which is not the case, because it is purely to enhance our own gameplay) and then just snatch it away from us. |
Also, it is not that I belong to these “stat monster” or stat chasing players anyway, I am at 526th position in all cl19 players with highest wg, 473rd in leaders guild, i just got hg11 less than a week ago, tg and lg both at average due to guild potions. I am only in a decent position at cl19 because I do a lot of cg(which I love) so cg10 provides a upper hand to me in terms of stats compared to many |
Tbh, I don't see anyone against this change in the English forum. We all pretty much agreed it was much needed, the point of contention is the way in which it was implemented.
But idk how this was seen as whining. Old players were thrown under the bus, that's fact just like how this change is here to stay. |
I can't buy the ring of doubts from the artifact shop anymore. Now I must schlep across the map :( |
I just realized why...there's none to be found lol. |
for Arcanide:
I completely disagree as a understat lvl 22. people who have worked for years 24/7 almost to get a major statincrease are getting punished. the top players put thousands of hours in to make their characters stronger than the average. the same players are the only one's who mainly also donate to the game, on the contrary to the low stat players who barely or have never invested in the game. this is rooting for pure woke communism. equality, but no equity. this is arguably one of the worst changes ever if you look at it from a neutral point of view. don't use the argument that people have jobs, if you put effort into something, you should be rewarded. that is called justice, instead of all the equality bs that is talked about nowadays. it's so funny that working hard gets punished like big taxes |
