slight problem with your math. You said 727 level 6 players in tourney and then you split prize as if every level 6 tried the tourney in all 7 factions. I'm sure several people tried multiple factions, but I highly doubt many level 6 players can afford enough upgrades in all factions to be competitive. 290,800/72=4039. It should be slightly less because of multiple faction attempts. |
it doesnt matter in how many factions you play the tournament, prize will stay the same
First place in each faction = 60%*main prize / 7
Second place in each faction = 30%*main prize / 7
Third place in each faction = 10%*main prize / 7
Then incentive prize is distributed among the best 10% of each faction |
I'm assuming only your highest score in each faction is saved.
If each of the 727 players plays one faction and they evenly divided themselves among the 7 factions there will be 108 players per faction. Top 10% is 11 people per faction, 77 players total. 290,800/77=3777.
If each of those players played 2 factions and it was still evenly divided there will be 216 scores per faction. Top 10% is now 22, 154 players total. 290,800/154=1888.
The more people who attempt multiple factions, the smaller each person's cut of the incentive prize. |

Incentive Prize, which is 80% of entrance fees, is split evenly between 10% of best players in each faction
What I get from this, is that 4th and 30th would even get same reward amongst those 300 Knights. |

Look at situation at level 11:
Participants level: 11; Faction: XXX
Challenge type: Survival
Prize:
Main: 159,600
Incentive: 38,400
Empire send only Main Prize to winners.
Noone get prize for 10% highest results.
On level 3-10 players received their prize:
Received XXX gold from Empire : Scored among 10% highest results in the First Survival tournament among combat level 10 paticipants, faction XXX! |
what's even worse, if there had been 1 more dark elf participant, marked_one would have received the whole 38k.
Level 12 also didn't use its entire prize fund.
Level 9 was a little odd as well. Knight, Elf, DE and Barb winners got more gold for being in top 10% than winning their faction |

| Yeah, the top 10% reward is a punishment for not having enough player on a faction, especially for higher levels. I am disappointed that even the #1 of the faction does not get the reward. :( |

Lol, level 9 DEs had 40 participants, first 4 got awarded.
Amongst level 9 elves: 39 participants, first 3 got the prize.
Guess who finishend on the lucky 4th place......... |
