My point is they have more players than us, also more very active. But I don't see any proof of them having more skill than some of the top players I know and I don't see fsp ratio being a factor in this event either.

We have a limited amount of English speaking players, the Russian speaking players are represented much better than us.
This is not news, neither is it unfair, that is just the way it is
But with more players we could share our gold lost to defend facilities.
If only some members keep defending it, only those will waste money, but with more players the gold lose should be shared, and then being able to wear a better AP.

I agree with MC clans should make a powerfull one or maybe two.
If some players don't want take part of this event, ok (they should at least defend 1 time per day, but if they don't want to ok) but other thing is a player which is offline for more than 6 months or maybe blocked people, those guys are holding space which should be occupied for active players.

And with a merge of MC clans, we could just take off all offline players away, and bring only active players. (Even if they will or not help in defence, but 1 time per day will not break nobody economy)
Activity is the most important factor in this event, but it should be obvious you can’t discard completely skill, FSP amount and gear/gold.

Without good gear/gold you can’t win from a point forward, without skill you’ll lose many battles and as far as FSP is concerned, for example on my level one with main FL 11 and 6 on all other factions fairs much better than one average player with FL 10 and no anti skill.


In this event, a clan in order to be successful needs no lifers constantly battling. Casual players with a job, need to study, wife, kids, etc. can’t compete without disrupting their real life. And this event has become kind of tiresome and boring; it’s been over a month doing the exact same thing over and over again. If something new was added it could attract more activity.

If you are referring to me, then I never had any stand point in regards to MC merging or not. Just stating that we cannot hope to have a clan like the titans with activity spread out like it is. But there is more to being in an MC than just being in the biggest.

Never said you could not, just said that I don't think we are behind the Russian in neither skill or avg gold. The fsp difference effect is miniscule in this, it is more a problem in PvP, ST and HG records imo

Agree it has lasted long enough now.
But don't think no-lifers is necessary, especially for international clan which has members in every time zone. There will always be someone online who is off from work
I wasn't referring to no one, I just said if there's a clan merge, will make a more powerful and competitive MC, because could remove inactive players and bring new active players.

Let's say there's a super unit which could kill a averange of 1.000 enemy units before it perish...
But you army have only 5 super units, how they will face 1 billion of enemys?

Numbers also make quality, with a good leadership, asking every player better time to play, and making a good division of battles to each player (not giving all resposability to few), so the MC could defend their currently facilities with less dificult (But of course, the gold is running down, and soon or later even the "greatest" russian MC will had difficult to hold what they already have.)

True, but still I feel like there is something fishy going on.

For example, we (A&D) have 4 facilities now, and 3 of them are under attack right now, at 18.40, 18.50 and 19.10.
Titans has 17 facilities. How many are under attack at the same time? I doubt they can hold 6-7 attacks around the same time....

They have 3-4 many times. But you must remember that Titans are an extreme example of a Russian clan - They are incredibly active and not only that, but are active at the same time - They are all from the same time zone.

A&D have a reasonable level of activity, but because it is an international clan, not all are online at the same time. Some of the more dedicated Russian MCs, those that are a little smaller, are reportedly sending each other txt messages when there are numerous defences for them to attend to - We certainly do not have that luxury. I feel it is not easily comparable :p
I believe that the top MCs have just more hardcore players as SirM0rphius wrote. In order to do so, they have to rotate their players pretty hard to remove the ones who are not playing often enough.

As .com community is smaller, its hard to make such intensive rotation. We would need to join MCs to make a clan able to control more than 6 facilities and maybe merge all .com clans to make 1 which would get to TOP5 MCs.

Well i didnt mean to ignite a discussion regarding russian MC's . But its clear They- the rich ones -for example titans are spending so much money on defenses now, but having more facilities in the end will give them very nice income... so its great way to developing characters . I dont have an idea how much they earn from 15+ facilities considering the 5 or 7% rule , but still it must be worthy to fill great clan balance.
But the money is spent by members... facility earns money for the clan . Even When you win defense clan earns money while you spend on artifacts.
I see it like this - clan members' gold being transferred to MC balance , only that we are paying MC to enjoy or whatever it has become now. :)

Gear/fsp/skill doesnt matter
its all about number of active players to fill spots quickly


gear (which means money) does matter IMO, especially in the battles for taking over a facility. But yes, fsp and skill doesn't matter given the dynamic balance
I agree that gear certainly matters with those frequent defences coming close together. You do need good enchanted gear to be able to play 2 defences in a 10 minute interval.
You also need a very active and full MC to cope with double defences.

English speaking clans are in no shape to be able to hold a full sector but then it really is only the top few clans that have a hope of doing that anyway. The biggest 3 English speaking clans are not doing too badly on the Top Military Clan list for this event. This event is a good learning curve to see where we should be heading. For me, the most important things an MC should have is good leadership that can steer the clan in the right direction, and as close to 250 active members as possible.

Gaining strong characters, getting good gear, learning how to fight with skill - all necessary too and will come with time if you are not already there.

And yes, communication between MCs in some kind of alliance would be a great way forward. After all, we are less experienced and do not have as good access to information as Russian speaking clans. Of course, that is only in theory, in practise it might not be so easy ;)

We could argue all day long about whether good gear or more clan members is the most important. It really doesn't matter which is the most important - all the things mentioned above by various players are important and all need attention.
Titans income from the last day:
2013-07-16 00:01: Based on previous day results for defending map facilities (176, 177, 187, 190, 191, 206, 207, 208, 217, 223, 255, 276, 277, 297, 298, 318, 339, 360, 361), the clan is awarded 59971 gold.

I think that unless clans keep the facilities for long time, they cant make the gold their members have spent to capture the facilities and then defend them. Members get fsp/exp and fun, which after playing over a month vanish.
Good leadership and decision making is more important than muscle mass.
Clan #933 has less than half of Titan's facilities. That means less than half defenses. Yet,
2013-07-16 00:01: Based on previous day results for defending map facilities (18, 21, 37, 78, 90, 225, 302, 323, 344), the clan is awarded 114360 gold.

Besides, each won defense is a forced donation of 100*CL gold from player to clan. That covers a full-arts use. In principle this could go on for very long time, or even forever (from a financial point of view).

Also for Titans the way it goes is like this, i think:
Since they are superactive, the question isn't if they got money to defend, rather than where to invest their money. And their choice was to invest at mine defenses, even though we, as a MC, earn 40% of their income with 4 mines only. For them it is more a matter of prestige and eagerness to "invest" money.

This event, which admittedly has drawn too much, needs:
a)active members above all and
b)good leadership and less gear(since it is "self-adjustable").
Even if there are double or triple attacks, an active clan can cope with them merely by member numbers, provided that its leadership hasn't pushed that far by owning 87589699 mines. If on the other hand, the MC leaders want to hold 8979879 mines with 70- active members, then inevitably you need good expensive gear to cope with double/triple attacks so as to win fast and proceed to next battle.
Neither Skill nor fsp are of any particular use here imo, since we all got skill and battles are "self-adjustable".

Just curious... It seems to me that most of working positions are occupied all day in Titans Valley, so Titans should make good profit. How could Warriors make more money, about twice, with only half of Titans facilities? Is there any trick here?
you know what would make this event interesting and generate some more gold for players ? If they were able to attack facilities with just one or two players like an ambush from the thieves guild. They attack another MC's facility, or if not part of MC any facilities, and if successful are able to loot whatever amount of gold. MC's could send people to defend or have computer do it. Just thought it would be fun, give some gold to players, start to make MC's go against each other, and give non MC members something to do. Gold looted could be based off of number of troops left at the end or something.
Whatever they do, we need a decent amount of non-hostility time to gather back some money.
But the gold on mines or whatever isn't directly from MCs, it's gold to people enrrol and work there, if some one stolem this gold should be cheating the own server not the MC itself.

Also if you attack a bigger MC with many allies, of course he will retribute the favor, and make all yours mines stay on 0 gold forever, making less and less places to work and enrrol...

So in the end of the day, the players will get less gold with this...
Only will benefit the strongest...
