always kill small stacks first since 1 cerberus deals almost same damage as 70 incendiaries. to do this, you need to split your cerberus, but always mind your step to avoid fireball/mass decay. in the given battle you lose because of the very efficient mass decays.
btw, throw away the incendiaries, NEVER use them as a might demon. |

That is how I played back then and it worked just fine, as long as the magic demon didn't get very lucky (a ton of hell-fire's). |

at level 9-10, a big stack of incendiaries is realy good for might demon.
I especialy loved them at the end of the battle, when all stacks were dead except for incendiaries.
for magic demon with high spellpower and fire damage talent, 1 cerberi with fire hit can deal about the same damage as a stack of incendiaries without fire hit.
For might demon (with 4 morale and the morale is damage talent,) a big stack of incendiaries can 1 hit kill a stack of unicorns, ursuray, swordswmen, mino´s... and so on.
It is difficult because of the low ini, but decent teamwork can get it done nicely. Paying attention to the amount of turns without morale is key.
And don´t forget the stack of around 40 gated incendiaries... nobody is going to attack them :-) |

it looks like you did not realy have a chance on winning
If you are a dark caster, then normaly you should avoid the conflict as long as possible (and cast your dark magic.)
This time your opponent was a dark caster as well... and you were walking around, trying to protect your creatures, while he was moving to attack (read: slaughter) yours.
Maybe you could have tried to attack either boars or birds, with horses and fiends... but probably you would have lost (he was too fast for you)

for nytyn:
any battle you win with incendiaries, you can win with spawn build, while many battle you can win with spawn build will lose if you take incendiaries.
they are useful only in st, where you can control the atb to let them always move immediately in every new wave. |
