From the russian forum they posted this how the ring was won:
A special artifact 100 were awarded the best fighters on the efficiency of those who accompanied all 72 caravan. Calculation of efficiency depended on the power of 30 of the most complex caravan losers relative to the other characters of the same level, faction and class.
What does this mean? Because I see list of most wins and most on there did not get that ring. The list of people with rings is based on efficiency points, but I see lots of people that did not get the coin emblem but still got the ring, so what efficiency are they talking about? |
I can't believe this :/ I got an art less than 10k and others got an art worth 600k+ for an event that without any art is profitable anyway...
Oh btw "complex" from google translate basically means difficulty from what I have observed, so this ring is achieved by those who reached the highest difficulties by dynamic balancing, so basically if you don't have DU you have no chance... anyway I liked this event now I hate it :/ |

Well no, but at least I would have had some chance, whether it be 1% or 10%, this is not something I could have possibly achieved without DU.
I am not saying it is unfair though, because a game cannot run without its donors, but just one of those big disadvantages of being in a DU level when you don't have one. |

| Well obviously a DU person has an advantage, but I'm 100% sure at least one person who didn't have a DU upgrade got the ring. Maybe with better planning and more skill you might have gotten it? |
| Well, from looking at the list who got the rings, I do indeed see a lot of DU, so it might be connected. Since a lot of the people with the most wins didn't get the ring and the description sais something about losers to the most difficult caravans relative to others of the same class, faction and skill. But this doesn't add up either since I see five people as level 13 elf on the list and like 8 level 17 dwarf. So the info the same class, faction and skill is again an utter lie. |
Not possible as long as the DU plays some role... so if you talk about a level 15 barb maybe it's possible... but no way on earth for a level 13 elf like me, unicorn plays an insane role.

| Well the level 14 who posted this ring in this thread a page back or so, didn't have a DU upgrade, maybe if you played earlier or levelled up quicker you would have gotten it. |

Had the info about 'same class, faction and skill' been true, we wouldn't have seen that many classes of the same skill getting that many. If you are gullible to believe it than you are also saying that no one, and I do mean no one in any level has played the event as a regular barbarian, shadow barbarian or holy knight. Since they don't exist in that list. |

I believe for many factions and CL, DU is essential for such reward. However I don't see anything wrong with it. Shouldn't donation be somehow encouraged? Why should any game developers discourage the act of donation? If they do, they must be out of their mind.
Also like I said, what is actually important for such reward is SKILL, not DU. You still need to play way better than other players at your CL and faction.
Also there are a lot situations that DU doesn't make a difference, for example CL 15 charmer elf |

DU or No DU this type of rewarding does create disappointment in the players.
How u measure efficiency of different CL at same table? Are you saying a level 19 & 13 difficulty level same !!
Give a art on basis of a set parameter which 1 can at least judge without such complex calculation. Most of the people had win of 60+ & the highest is 64 its really demoralizing to see a same number of win grant u a ring while not the other player.
After all the human thieves are the uncertain element in this event/equation. |
out of 100, 53 are from DU level I think you should compare DU lvl and the players who have them not DU Non DU level. A cl 14 already have that unit so no point of comparing him with level 13 rather compare to cl 13 & see whether they have du & non du that would b proper comparison not like you compared above.
