I'm sure we will see alt-tribal soon. We have already seen all the alt units, so I don't think they have much work left to do before releasing it. I think tribals are mostly played in duels only because in a 2x2 or mixed PVP situation, there is almost always a DoF user which cripples them to absurd uselessness.
Pharaohs otoh are played in group PvPs quite often from my experience. You probably don't see them as much as charmer elves and dwarves but they are pretty common still. If you end up fighting them, remember that their archers can be deceptively strong, oftentimes soloing teams like a one-man army. |

pharoah and tribal arent played in 2vs2 or mixed as they are insanely weak to mage des and dof. Both of which are crazy popular. In duel you see a lot of pharoahs as they counter most might factions.
alt tribal could be good as an in your face rushing faction. Everything useful has 8-9 speed turn 1 so they can tush. and they have antirush capabilites as they have 400 spirit at start of combat to mitigate damage from other rushers like ce or dwarf. |

well whatever it may be it is 50% more then the max amount of spirit gained from classic tribal center perk after accounting for the double spirit loss. so more initial damage reduction so they can rush without much fear from enemy rushers |
I think it will be interesting to see an incredibly offensive-oriented tribal, almost a perfect counterpart to the classic one. |

I agree about tribals but are pharaohs truly weak to mages? I think as a mage it's very hard to beat a pharaoh sporting 3-4 morale. I haven't seen the match-up versus DoF user though yet that is also questionable.
I think alt tribal is going to be fantastic versus mages. 300 spirit is actually a lot because if they are going to rush mage, they will rapidly reach level 2 with 500. And we've seen how unstoppable tribals can be once they cross that threshold. |

also they accumulate and lose Tribal spirit points twice as fast
This part of the talent description might enforce high defense stats similar to clasic tribal. |

if you wait builds initiative. defend builds defence, taking damage builds health, casting holy increases mana and holy spells. casting dark increases mana and dark magic. attacking increases damage and moving increases speed. |
