Only because the AI doesn't have the sense to put traps for shrew several tiles ahead to make them stop in their range.

Seems like until they trap better, shrews might be the best units in the game for dealing with large goblin only armies.
The strike and return makes it more straight forward with shrews and less likely to get caught out, though any unit with a high ini is straight forward so long as you do not over commit and simply attack, retreat etc

Getting a bit tougher, but still done in grace set rather than dawn, and as such is eminently profitable (provided you stop once it starts hitting the harder battles which I assume will come after level 50)

More gnoll armies in this batch of 10, and no alt tribal ones (at least for me)

Takes two turns to hit and retreat while Shrews can attack for both turns. Shrews are also one of the fastest ini units anyway. So it's more than a double bonus.
Dark elf move without much effort till 30 today. 60 battle done with auto.

pretty easy day 3. probably easier clear through 50 in shop arts as shooter barb.
Interesting - Did not know cowardice does not work against scarabs

its not the scarabs. cowardice doesnt work if the goblins hp is more then 100 times the attacker. so if scarabs have 6 hp 2 is 12. 100 times that is 1200 hp. so anything above 400 goblins wont flee from scarabs

Olala... Thats why when my shrew attack they not move.
How the hell do you pass level 18 with the Spawing Tent? I tried as Elf and Barb, all enemies Necro and Elf and Tribal

Break the tent first. Put your creature that can move first or like bird to take your ogre to near tent and use wolf to attack tent. By the way i reccomend you had at least 5-7 initiative and 10 attack. Farm all point, don't leave any level left.
