Try something like this ^
Though you have made a mistake by upgrading troops already I guess. I would recommend to recruit maximum army until 3rd-4th day. Troop count is what matters more in starting levels. |

you need the first three buildings unlocked to unlock the rest. |

I had to upgrade them, as it was the only way I could win the armament fights up to lvl 8 included.
I changed the strategy thanks to Lord spiral-doom PM and won the fight with 70% of the army remaining. |

They used rune of intagibility. That rune makes a troop incorporeal for an entire turn.(ghost like ability)

Indeed, this time some of the side battles are very hard. This is only day one and day two. Can't imagine what will happen on the last day. This would really kill the fun of such an event. |

how to win in event?
Dont play till day 4-5 then u can spend all silver and glory into first 3 units :)
Doesnt make sense every day lets u purchase more units, so u can wait and then purchase all units instead of playing and forced to buy buildings to unlock more power to ur army |

And does all the glory and silver to spend fall from trees? You still have to win battles to obtain those. And the "side battles" aren't any easier than real waves so it doesn't really matter much if you wait or not. I have seen people winning fights without many losses like yours without the pointless waiting even in your military clan.
I suggest you stop pretending to be a pro and re-evaluate how you play to avoid further frustration and maybe it will even help you overcome that tendency to whinge over everything. |
Yeah, it seems like caravan 12 is a doozy. I needed to build and upgrade my fourth unit to beat it when I only needed three units to beat caravan 11.
For those who aren't aware, the difficulty increases drastically at caravans that correspond to multiples of 6. I'm not sure if this also applies to glory and armament battles - I haven't noticed anything like that personally, although I tend to do them long after I've done the caravan battles (and hence can spend the silver that I've earned from them). |
I'm assuming the way to go for the first 10 or so levels is to just max recruit your first three troops and upgrade them when you can. Armaments make it so Succubi tear through everything. After that though, should I upgrade my initial troops or invest in the higher tier ones? I feel like stacking and upgrading T1 would not be a bad idea because those guys wreck shop. Same with potentially T2 but they die too fast. Really curious to see if T4 or T6 would be the move, especially if I have enough silver to recruit the max immediately. What do y'all think? |

if i have time to play on weekdays i would have waited but no time so i had no choice but to play, so yes u play additional battles but it is much easier to win with 3 big stack of units compared to small stacks in 5-6 spread across unit stacks.
I have many losses cuz im playing in garbage arts lmao.

Same here. The T1 upgrade is a clear improvement and it comes with dreadful laughter which is overpowered against a lot of T1. Damage 0 farmers is a thing.
Other than that, depending on its price, T7 is very interesting with propagable and seething wrath as powerful abilities, though when it has cool abilities it tends to be overpriced. You also need to unlock lower tiers...
Otherwise in portal battles the tormentors used to be a massive pain when the AI had them.
Breeders look fairly unremarkable and being large shooters make them bad overall.
I've never seen the juggernauts in action yet but they have a lot of potential with their charge ability.
Overall I tend to value more extra HP to tougher stack so even the breeders should have some use if just to get killed instead of something else. This is especially true for dark builds where success is all about how many troops you have left by the time you have debuffed the enemy (less true in hunt types than hero battles but still). |
I have heard (but cannot confirm) that breeders have a higher priority than hounds, which is very useful since hounds deal the second-highest damage (next to the T1 units).
The T4-T6 units deal much less damage than the T1-T3 units so I agree with focusing on the latter, although tormentors have a no-retaliation ability every other turn that is very useful. |
