It seems that if you do not wear any artifact
It does not give you any gold rewards.

I did get 0.5 HG points in the above battle, too much exp and ok ok FSP. But no gold rewards.
Then now I played with Min AP - 5 Points.

| Not sure if anyone has seen the difficulty ramp up yet(or whether this will or won't happen), but they are currently still easy in min ap with low Faction levels. So coupled with PoT this is good for development of alt factions - though in this case realistically you will need a full castle. |
first 9 fights are easy to do in min ap (if using decent fsl one).
not even min ap necessary, heard wielding just a Light axe is enuf to get paid ;)
personally I stopped after 11th. 9k xp too much for 2.15 fsp ;) |

Interesting I am getting aroun 4.5K for 1.88 FSP on my 12th win.
Not a great ratio, but easy battles for my 3rd faction so more practical development, plus it runs to profit and HG points which is always nice. SO unless it gets worse I intend for the full 23. I may try the light axe thing and see what I get for that one. |
