Good event though I think no matter if a few people gripe about variable difficulty - ultimately it was cheap (for an event) with a reasonable fsp ratio.
You will always get a level of variability in difficulty with events, they have to ensure enough difference in armies to make it interesting and give it sufficient replay value, the consequence is lots of different setups that must be regulated in difficulty via formulae as would take too long to check rigorously.
Either we have faultless events further apart - or we have more regular ones that get tweaked early on (I favour the latter as I would hope all would (even those with a higher tendency of looking at the negatives))
