I've donated to this game and will do that again simply because I can and want to, I'm proud of it thou, as I've seen this game grown and grown thanks to people that give cash to play this game.

This has no ground to stand on. Just make's no sense. Have you ever known a company that seeks for investers but give's them nothing in return? Why would you invest if you get nothing in return?
So I assume you get "mad" at people in real life aswell who invest in company's and get things in return?
So if I would invest a lot of cash into a new Car Company, simply because I can and want to, you would be mad if I got a new vehicle every few months (for free as promotion) because I'm an invester? I would have an advantage over those who never invested in this company, yet I've never seen you complain about that?
Now to turn this a bit around, do you smoke? Do you have a hobby that cost money? Drink a lot in the weekends? Go a lot on vacation?
Well, I don't. I don't have any other addicitions. I like to go out with friends, don't smoke, drink smart, don't buy things I don't need, haven't got any hobby atm (except flirting with girls dhuuu).
So I like to save up every now and then to invest in this game.
I don't need a real life reward, what I get is joy, don't mind me what others think about that :) |

Maybe the title could be: "People spending time on online games". The 1st post could be almost the same, with some few changes. I spend time in online games because I like, and I have spare time, so I can actually play it when there is no other important (or at least, urgent) things to do. So, my question for you: Why do you spend time on online games? Maybe your answer can make you understand why people spend money in online games too. |
It seems this discussion is going nowhere.
Every person has the right to spend his or her own money on whatever they desire as long as both their money and their expenses are legal.
People who spend their money on LordsWM and other online games mostly do it for gain some advance and enhance their gameplay, of course, but at the same time they would still help these projects, whether it's their true intention or not.
Therefore, I don't think further discussion is necessary here. |
