also, caster creatures (that can cast damaging spells) don't need to move in order to deal damage - just like shooters. but unlike shooters, casters don't have range penalties (they deal the same dmg anywhere on the battlefield) and can't be blocked (they deal spell dmg whether they are standing next to enemy units or not). | another point in favor of magic - magic faces no retaliation. There are magic shields available, but in the same way there is defense to lower attack. However, each might attack usually has to face some retaliation. Magic's biggest advantage is that you can harm without getting harmed yourself. | I think it is hard to make game balanced, but there are some pretty nasty inequalities:
1. Hunts: Only Wizards can benefit from increased damage from chaos magic,
2. Survival tournaments: You need to save your mana and arrows.
On the other hand PvP is pretty fine. | Well, survival tournaments are just within the same faction, so its not really an inequality. | Thanks, I didn't realized that. Maybe sometime in the future, when you can't reset talents, it will be. |
