Seems to have been some kind of temporary server hiccup.
Perhaps a little less likely that it was as a result of a DDoS than it being a simple server problem. However, as the server seems to be working fine now, there should be no worries about what happened.
As for the roulette, in the past people have been compensated - https://www.lordswm.com/forum_messages.php?tid=1912263 - So hopefully the same will happen again in due course.
