AuthorDeat Players! [About Updates]
What does "Deat" mean?

Marcel Déat (7 March 1894, Guérigny, Nièvre – 5 January 1955, near Turin, Italy) was a French Socialist until 1933, when he initiated a spin-off from the French Section of the Workers' International (SFIO) along with other right-wing 'Neosocialists'. He then founded the collaborationist National Popular Rally (RNP) during the Vichy regime. In 1944, he became "Minister of Labor and National Solidarity" in Pierre Laval's government, before escaping to Sigmaringen along with Vichy officials after the Allied landings in Normandy. Condemned in absentia for collaborationism, he died while still in hiding in Italy.
Could be that they're having a dearth of English translators in Russia. They say that in .ru they have radio. Has anyone heard the admins speak English words over there? XD

If you want events then English needed, but if you change game mechanics then you don't really need to know English, it would be more like math formulas.
It's enough to know just two English words: old, new (or these: before, now)

But it's very hard to believe that there are programmers who absolutely don't know English.

To me it's rather excuses. I understand that a person can be lazy, but some minimal communication would be nice, it's necessary for the game to survive.

Actually I think that admins do read forums from time to time. They maybe even hiding behind the name of some players and writing some silly comments to support their laziness (for example, you can never be sure if I'm the admin or not, lol :) ).
(for example, you can never be sure if I'm the admin or not, lol :) ).

for Robai: You're a bender, not an admin =P

p.s. I still haven't forgotten you screwing me over at GU1

I simply couldn't resist...
If you were an admin it wouldn't be fair to be playing the game as you have the add gold buton and add skills and everything like that
@ atheros #19:

i still dont see improvement-

old 2v2; 21k-22k exp/4fsp for winner, 6.6/2 or 3.8/1.3 for losers
new- 20k/5 for winner, 5.5/1.1 for loser

maybe winner have 25% imrpovement for fsp but if any change then even worse cuz now loser get loss and also almost 50% less fsp

i dont see how will get more pvp plyers if loser even worse bargain now

sorry i dont look at 1v1 i dont care about it
for 4themassive:

one would not expect a lot of fsp gained from that big defeat.

How about this two:

https://www.lordswm.com/war.php?warid=502233195

~1.8 to 2 fsp for the losts - if the game is more close.

Looks impressive to me.
Sorry, please ignore post # 26.

FSP gained by losts did not improve.
for Lexo:
Arctic - assistant, he can speak English, but he very busy in real life.
I know, that Arctic is not alone the programmer, who plays here. If the administration needs help, then they should say so.
Just because on the front page says that is a non-commercial project, doesn't mean it is true.

The language barrier argument is a bad one. Come on we live in 2012, if i really wanted in max half day i could find someone who speaks innuit or insert another strange exotic language. So English would rather easy.
So everything is pointing to the fact that they don't want to develop this server, they just keep alive because with minimal effort its producing money.

Just look at the DE bug which lasted couple days. I'm a sysadmin , but if i was checking a server (which i updated) that rarely (to see if there any problem with the update), well, i would have to find a new job very quickly. So, they don't really care.

1. We were talking about the lack of official announcements not the lack of game changes. They just changed some of the game mechanics in case you still didn't notice...

2. Knowing English and using English well are two different things. I cringe every time I see some of the existing texts in the game. [insert monster here] misses ghosts? Why? Did they have a love affair and the ghost decided to run away with the apparition? This is why I don't recommend this game to anyone. Silly grammar. Hell, the title itself sucks. Maybe for you the admins did a pretty damned good job of translating the game into English. For me, it looks like a kindergarten attempt. But I'm not here for the poetry, so yeah.

To me it's rather excuses. I understand that a person can be lazy, but some minimal communication would be nice, it's necessary for the game to survive.

What is your reaction to the Christmas, New Year, and Valentine's Day announcements? Did you take those seriously? Do you believe the admins are sincere when they said those? If yes, then why are you complaining? If no, then what kind of communication do you want? What is your definition of "minimum communication?"

Actually I think that admins do read forums from time to time. They maybe even hiding behind the name of some players and writing some silly comments to support their laziness (for example, you can never be sure if I'm the admin or not, lol :) ).
They don't need to do that to troll us. Ever notice that every game change always manages to troll someone? Robai, I remember you campaigning against intentional "losers" long ago. Why are you upset that the admins are making changes that punishes losing even more and rewards winners by giving us instant healing after victories? Is it because you have become an intentional "failer" now?
anybody tried ffa for 4 and 6 last time? maybe more fsp?
I'm not complaining, i think some changes can be made for better of the game, i can list some, but don't have any effect if the admins don't read it.

I just think, before they made a big change like exp ratio, they should consult the players before, making one topic or an poll system...
Or any big change consult the players before do!

On their defence, on Q&H some months ago (3-4) some people show don't care about exp ratio, only wants level up, and this new system only will help the high players in the server... So they think that's a good idea without any problem... But i care about exp ratio and others players too.
It's not about good or bad updates, but on lack of offical news regarging those changes.
+1
quietly switching all the game rules does not create an aura of warmth and trust.
If i setup a program to send you an automatic greetings each Christmas, New Year and your birthday (very easy to do), does that mean that I'm communicating with you?

cant express my feelings better :)
And I made that original statement jokingly too, in case someone else takes it too seriously.
So everything you said was a joke.
<laugh>
Hahaha, how funny.

Nope. But I'd give you a pat in the back for the effort. I work in customer care. I feel really good when customers show appreciation even though we both know that I'm just paid to do what I'm doing. We don't pay the admins for the game and what do they get? It's the lack of gratitude shown here that just gets to me, is all.

for Robai:

Glad that I managed to amuse you. Now can you stay? XD

That's a good feeling indeed, but the fact is that our dear admins don't work in customer care, they are owners of a business. As a owner you try to find ways to make your products more appealing to your potential customers and to your clients as well. Hiring someone in customer care is just part of this process. You can think of Artic as a customer care employee. I don't know if he was payed or not, but he's interactions with us(the players) was great. And we did show a lot of gratitude towards him and the admins. All those events and role playing games made most of us quite happy and I'm sure we did donate more money in those days.

As a business owner myself, I know of a lot of ways to make profit (beside players having to donate). I don't know why our dear admins don't use all the tools available, but they can at least bring Artic back. This would bring a lot of joy to us, the players ;)
