I would choose battle fury. As zephyr_pro already has shown, battle fury gives better damage output overall.
Also let's not forget about critical damage. In a hunt, with seanckx's racial 5, there is 25% chance of critical hit.
(For non-hunts, you can substitute the chance of critical hit with any lower arbitrary number with same results; any slight possibility of critical hits would favour battle fury more than advanced luck).
Advanced luck:
If you have 20% chance for luck and 25% chance of critical, expected damage bonus is +45%.
Basic offense and Battle Fury:
After factoring chance of critical, expected damage bonus even for unicorns is (1.173 * 1.25) = 1.466 = +46%
And this is assuming you are not wearing amulet of luck. Because if you are, battle fury becomes even better than advanced luck.
Advanced luck (with luck amulet):
Now if you have 30% chance for luck and 25% chance of critical, expected damage bonus is +55%.
Basic offense and Battle Fury (with luck amulet):
Again calculating for unicorns, expected damage bonus is (1.173 * 1.35)1.584 = +58.4%
Now the conclusion has become even more obvious. I don't need to talk about wasted luck due to overkill occurrences do I?
basic offense and battlefury damage bonus:
65% for sprites
41.4% for fk
37.5% for efk
18.2% for elven bowman
17.3% for unicorn
12.5% for druids
Hardly makes a difference. At level 7, most of the time druids cast either stoneskin or lightning. Only when they are out of mana do they shoot. |

hmmm..now it's confusing, bf or luck.
anyway i passed level 7,8,9 with only luck, and the result was quite good actually. Never tried bf though. |

battle fury shows huge difference only to factions having units with short ranges(less diff. between min and max range)
so only barbs get most of battle fury coz all their tier units have short ranges compared to other factions.
in case of elves only efk have short range so fury works for them only. fury not much help for archery units coz they will deal 50% dmg only outside its range,unicorns do have a large range so no use,druids not much of a dmg dealer while shooting and sprites work only in survivals and some hunts. so i would say elves are not made for battle fury! |

all other things, like critical or attack attributes or anything, dont have effect on the comparition of luck and bf.
as in lwm, critical+luck in together is 4 times damage, while in hommV it is 3 times damage.. |
@25: Kind of a waste that your 1 efk blocked your main stack and phantom from hitting multiple targets. Other than that, I don't know how to have played better. Possibly use phantom on gmb, but they might be hard to protect.

Wat i told at post 28 was very simple. if u don't get it then its ok i explain it to u....
i told that battle fury works well for creatures having short attacking range but i also forgot to say that they should have high count. let us take wolf raiders and unicorns as example
wolf's range is 2-3 while uni's 10-20.
considering the attack of these 2 creatures to be equal to the defense of target then,
min dmg of 7 uni(at lvl9)=70
min dmg of uni with battle fury=77
difference shown=7
wolf(50) min dmg=100
wolf min dmg with battle fury=150
difference shown=50
hence it is seen that short range creature make the most of battle fury
ofc u can say that efk having short range can benefit battle fury which is true but comparing elf with other factions, other factions use more short range creatures than elf
barb use hob wolf and orcs
demons use spawns incs wolf
de prisoner shrews mino
for knights not so useful
for elf only efk and they don't use sprites
so using fury only for efk is senseless |

ho ho killing necro is always fun in low level, very easy even if u dont have talent :p

and their is really nothing much to talk about. if u go for mixed tourny result and check level 7-9 battles for .ru and .com...all high ranked elves used only luck and very high initiative. with very high initiative and luck only in first two turn it is possible to kill more than 50% of the troops. i tried it mate, and it works very very nice...

battles i lose was maybe because of diamond upgrade, or because i took noob steps.but i gurantee you, i wouldnt get much help from bf.
anyway i didnt try bf, but i really dont think elves will be able to really utilise it, because they die very fast. |
