AuthorGame rules too strict?
I agree game rules are too strict but if they are not the way they are more cheaters will never be punished! kinda like the world war II! the war went so long and millions have died that the Americans knew if we dont do something this could go another 5 years and another 5 million would die! oh I know!! we drop a nuclear bomb and kill 2 million people and we stop this war in 1 day! and thats exactly what they did.. they scared the stuff outta them and basically the Japanese surrounded..

Silence! I KILL YOU!!!
Transfers between accounts of the same player would not be allowes as it is now. Only if someone wants to make a gift to different person - it would be allowed.

P.S. So what do you think about making a list with range of penalties, so that everybody would know what they deserve for braking rules?

i guess, for transparency sake, that would be a good thing.
you had agree to follow the rules from the time you register with the small tick on the check box. yes, i know most players dont read it, not even i read those lengthy words while register.

how about these?

- read if you dont know: you have plenty of time while waiting your troops recover, why dont spend sometime on reading the game rules?

- ask if you dont understand: there are alot old players, sage, mods around for you to ask detail on rules.

- learn if you get punished: accept the punishment if you break the rules accidentally and not repeat again in future. you have no excuse to argue that you dont know the rules.

- avoid if you are not clear: dont even try the border line, gray area or limitation of any rule. this is the ultimate way to for those lazy players who never want to read, ask and learn. this will avoid being excused on rules you broke. dont do that if you are not sure. simple...
From what Pang wrote, I understand that rules are not to be negotiated, even if there will be many players asking to adjust them.

Then, lets at least have 'Penalties Manual' so that you know what can be the punishment for breaking rules (transparency sake as syrian wrote). Then there would be less cry that the penalty was inproper to the level of violation. Everybody would know what to expect. This would also be a prevention tool.
if we could transfer all our money witouth limits i would be richest player on this game cuz i know more than 5 ways how to get gold illegaly
"not authority, mate, just given a voice, as representatives in a Official Council. Arctic sponsored this idea. some MC leaders publicly endorsed it. you're free to be against it, but do know what you're speaking against. "rife with cheaters", so let's do nothing? nice attitude, that will lead us far."

But the Mcs are not necessarily filled with good people, and thus their representatives may not be that good either. I've seen some very entertaning ideas from high level players that would be very poor for the game and were very self serving.

Also, I have some PMs I've kept from Arctic for posteritiss sake. Put it this way. Saying it was sponsored by Arctic is more a strike against than a positive in my book.
i have some PMs from Arctic too.
care to read a bit?
here:

From what I have seen, the server is perfectly able to take part in RP events organised semi-officially.

However, there is a problem =) I take breaks from the game from time to time, and the period of my future break is very close.
If you are fine with that, I encourage you to create such a clan, and I am ready to show you support and to cooperate.

this was before clan #705 Angels and Demons was created. i wanted to know what support (if any) would there be from the admins if we cared to do something on the players side. of course, Arctic is now gone, so until he gets back (or replaced) there's really no link with the admins.

can we do meaningful stuff? YES
can it be backed by the admins/Arctic? YES
is there enough players interested in doing something? DUNNO

but i do know this much: without organization, noone will go far. and hence the idea of a Military Clan Council.
if i would like to get back to the topic..
1. there are too many rules...
not really... some u won't even think of breaking....
2. too harsh penalties...
if u mean blocking, than maybe some of the blocks were unnecessary... but if u mean gold penalties... thats rubbish... more often than not, the penalties u received are the exact amount u got illegaly, so if u get a huge penalty its because u got that same huge amount illegally anyway....

3. if i read rightly, u mentioned getting penalties for starting forum topics in full caps... i would lik to mention u do not get penalties for that... juz a temprorary ban from forum... which is not too much as it offers u time to read the forum rules properly...
@13 so just because they are the leader of an MC means they are better than us?
so just because they are the leader of an MC means they are better than us?

are the people who run your country better than you?

no, they just have more responsabilities. or should.
for syrian: so why not pick active and honest players rather than MC leaders, not every MC leader is honest and active
The devs have had a problem finding a replacement Arctic. I can't see them ever trusting this council enough to give them any power, so the council will be no better than a sub forum of the ideas and suggestions.

In the big picture that's all that matters. This does not mean I still don't think that this council would be a good idea as I don't see that being able to put a MC together as a good way to select people who will have good ideas for the game.

Back to the rules. They aren't too strict. I think anything that can be said on ti has. You cheat, you get a fine or blocked. The rules are explained quie well and you shoud spend some time reading them.
so why not pick active and honest players rather than MC leaders, not every MC leader is honest and active

i see your point, but does that seem practical to you? who gets to pick? can you imagine a general election beeing held in this forum?
i suppose each MC should find its own way to nominate a representative to such a council.

I can't see them ever trusting this council enough to give them any power

noone said anything about power. power is and remains with the admins. but the admins should be more receptive to hearing ideas out of this council, wouldn't you say?

on-topic: i agree with you.
Can we get this dude as our new admin? He has an active imagination and it looks like he needs a long vacation.
