| Can i bring this to the attention of the moderators, i just did the tigers 2010 hunt, but to my surprise, the troop fighting along side me is a cat? isnt it supposed to be a rabbit? according to the chinese zodiac, rabbit comes after tiger, and there isnt any cats in the chinese zodiac. The Cat 2011 mistake is realized and corrected soon.
My alt had a fight with Cat 2011 and battles thereafter it became Rabbit 2011.
To be frank, the Cat 2011 attack and return skill is better than Rabbit 2011's fear attack. |

When the Chinese calendar was assimilated in Vietnam, a slight mistake came up with the copying: Rabbit was misspelled as Cat and now exists as the fourth year in the Chinese calendar version of Vietnam.
People in the world liked the idea and, while the Chinese still call it excusively "Rabbit year", in many other places they esteem both Rabbit and Cat as avatar animals for this year.
It is the same in LWM =) You can fight either with a Cat or with a Rabbit on your side. |
I knew the vietnam version of Cat. but I am curious why Russians use cat too. Russia is close to china, therefore should have learnt the culture thru china. maybe the developper is a vientnamese. . .
Vietnam is the only country I know of that uses cat in lieu of rabbit, other asian countries don't seem to adapt the idea. rabbit is cuter than cat, imho, and teh chinese didn't choose cat for a godd reason. . . but that's another story. |
