AuthorGold received for successful ambush
it's not nice when thieves rob people in real life either. but that's how life is.

i ambushed by two people today..how is that?

i got an idea for you: I had read through this thread what you had written..it seems that you need gold much but you lazy work for it..how about change the title of this thread into: i need gold!
well the admins would definitely like this idea :)

it would lead to:
more people getting tgi.
everybody wears full arts
more gold spent
better economy
better game
more diamonds :)

No way. -1 to this idea due to the enormous amount of gold people have here.
And this game is not about real life. Many things in here on thieves contradict real life here. If you want to base it on real life, note the following:
1) You may steal up to 100% of the victim's money
2) Ambushes would be A LOT easier.
3) If you lose an ambush against a player, you are considered "caught" and brought to the police station. In this case, all gold stole from ANY other player previously is returned and you will be jailed for a duration of time (maybe unable to thief for x weeks?)
4) Chance of ambushing a player has to be drastically reduced.
5) Thieves guild have to be implemented.
6) And some other stuff...
Oh yeah, how about this, if you lose an ambush against the computer, you would have to lose, um , x% of your gold. This x% is equal the the % you would steal from a player if you ambushed him (stated in number 1, except instead of 100%, it's x%). You may set x and change x anytime you wish. This will make thieves think a little on what to place x on.

a few people would spend even 1million on tgi. if tgi pricec go up to 3mil gold, then people would just get it with diamonds. much faster and easier.

yeah ur right, if a player has zero or negative gold, then the thief receives zero gold.

the result is that everyone will create a personal guild and use its treasury as a bank
(or at least the players with 1M + gold)
If you want to get some money, dont be so lazy and start enrolling, your LG is really really really low
Now there is no thieving:
- you get only 50-150 gold (what a ridiculous amount)

It should be a random number between 1000 and 5000 gold - only this would make sense.
And this shouldn't depend on how much player has (i.e. after ambush he can have even negative gold).
Why do people who play a game on a forum argue about Real Life? Armies teleport across the board to kill each other in group battles, and there is mass carnage and slaughter, and 15 minutes later everyone is feeling better.

All these things, yes they are fine, but for some reason, when robbing it has to be more realistic. Sorry, but it makes no sense.

Just say, "I have little money so if I got robbed for 1% it wouldn't matter but sometimes I might hit a player with heaps of gold, and I'd be set." That logic makes sense. It's self serving and a bad idea, but at least it's the real reason.
why would a thief atack somebody, kill someone's army, and risk his own life to get 100 gold lol? im trying to make it more realistic.

I share the same sentiments as stated in post 32.

Sadly, you are wrong. Back a few months ago there was a huge discussion about a certain player's stalking. Yes, stalking. He was following and ambushing some players 2-3 times every day.

I want to see how you spend your gold once you reach 100k. I'm pretty sure you won't be wearing full arts to every battle. Even with my current gold, I care about losing 100 gold.

This idea of stealing a % of a victim's gold isn't new. I believe either me or someone else also put down how about the thief losing something if the victim won. Maybe the thief also drops 1% of his gold, gets put in jail (can't thief again until he pays 1% of his gold + 1% of the victim's gold + 1000 to Empire), or the thief drops some arts.

These would make it more "realistic" or more "exciting" so players would actually care about winning/losing each and every fight. Of course there should also be a balance between thief and victim.
Looking at Pantheons post, I see again that many good ideas could be added into game play. And many of them very easy to implement. It's sad our ideas don't have any feedback.

But my post is just crying the same tears for the 1000th time.
Even with my current gold, I care about losing 100 gold.

I think gold should be increased from caravans...and maybe multiplier from gold stolen from actual players increased too.

At least I have company. Why else is the concept of min arts so popular? 100 extra gold used on arts is quite an improvement upon min arts.

In fact many even feel that min arts already costs too much.

Anyway to fix both the player and the caravan issue of too little gold, the base gold could be increased to something like 200-300 gold. This is just a minor change to the TG system, which admins probably could implement in like 5minutes. This way TG2 thieves like Ghost_Face could get 400-600 gold from ambushes. This amount won't get him rich, but would better cover the cost of his arts and players would only lose 200-300 gold (and not potentially some amount like 20k).
