In Russia people are zombies ihnimi Government which has a permanent lie on TV and people believe im.V Russia is no democracy there is no truth, 'cause if someone is telling the truth on television and radio is on the next day to cover up those TV channels which opinion diverges so that said Putin and Medvedev.
My opinion should osteregatsya Russia because it is the chief aggressor, the aggressor is maybe more than terrorizm.I I am sure that Russia is helping financially teroristam.

Democratic countries call it negotiation, not blackmail. Look at the history of Rooosevelt and the establishment of Panama and the Panama Canal Zone.
There are many more examples in the 20th century, but I wont go in to too much detail. Roosevelt is the perfect example. |
There's really no point in comparing USA to Russia at least when it comes to democracy and freedom of speech. The whole of USA, every major news channel, newspaper and other media made publicly fun of George W. Bush and with good reason for 4 whole years!
Can you imagine something similar happening in Russia? No, most definitely not and not the least of the reasons being that there practically isn't any privately owned mass media to speak of. Every media outlet is owned and financed by the central government...

What would make you think that the amount of brain washing and propaganda is to a lesser extend in other countries mentioned above? :) Remember the country which goes to war every 5 years, for a freedom or for the oil? or for imaginary weapons of mass desctruction.
Talking about the media, why bother? Every government is trying to have good image. How would it be possible father and son become presidents, call it free elections if you wish. Any media is controlled by the government to some extend. There were comedy shows about the politicians and the whole thing on TV prior to total government control of the media, it still did not make any or it did?
The thing is corruption is level is quite high in the modern Russia, no one diagrees on that one. Another thing is both countries are politically moving in opposite directions i.e the West towards socializm to some degree and Russia and other CIS members is at the peak "wild capitalism" with provetely owned corporations created during the Soviet era, i.e high small business barriers and lobbing regulations for themselves. |

The American elite have managed to control the media, but make it look free. It's so much smarter and cheaper than a hard core propoganda machine.
It doesn't matter if Bush is parodied all the time, if he and hs friends get the money and oil and to declare war when they want. You have Faux News accepted as a real news outlet, when it is just as biased as Al-Jazeera.

Everyone and their grandma knows that Fox News is extremely biased and supports the republicans exclusively. But at least there are other news outlets who can call them out on their BS and openly confront them. Not possible in say Russia or China.
