| pang says it all. A fine isn't enough to deter cheating. knowin that all your effort, every fight, every enrol will be for nothing as your character is banned if you are caught. it's that level of deterrent that is needed. |

It depends on the severity of the broken rule and of how many times you got caught. |

You might be being a bit harsh. I'm no cheater, but I did make a mistake once and get my multi and my main in teh same Throne Tourney Duel.
I afked both, and turned myself in - yet it was simply an honest mistake, forgetting that different levels played together. |
27. Such thing can be explained and turning yourself in is the good thing to do to explain the situation and avoid punishment. But intentionally pushing the limits and trying to jump the rules around should be punished in my opinion asap.
Yes, the financial penalty was fair but insufficient. Penalty was always the same amount as you cheated. So giving the server inflation(more you enroll, more you get) and nothing to lose, cheating was still a good way to many players how to be successful. |

I am glad the cheats are being blocked and leaving.
Now maybe the server will have a chance to grow as the honest players are no longer driven off by seeing a server where cheats are allowed to do as they wish and have an unfair advantage. |
| While having no special insight either, I would suggest that those who got fines probably admitted their cheating before they got caught and asked for mercy from the admins. |
| even i am in for blockng i was banned 2wice for multi( i did not know the rules back then they were constantly changing) i faced it i was ignorant and the thrid time i was hacked so a good option was getting blocked but now i am back to make the game better |
immediate block on cheaters?
i would say it depend on what kind of cheaters we had.
take example:
multi acc cases will never equal serious with finance assist; finance assist will never equal serious with diamond scammers.
SO, even punishment should be done but i m sure cold blood and steel heart shouldnt apply so hard on mult acc BUT diamond scammers.
hence, light cases like multi acc should given chance while no mercy on diamond scammers. dont you think so? :) |
| same with pang.u see in real life the highest punishment is execution.in this game which is blocked.if anybody do small crimes we dont give everybody execution.same here. |
| There were times in history when petty theft was so popular, it had been punished with an execution or cutting an arm if the thief got caught. Critical situations take critical measures sometimes. Lets wait how this turns out and if there will be anyone left at the server after the great cleanup. |
of course that, like Pang said, different cases are to be handled differently. sometimes the entire number of violations and password transfers are not that easy to be noticed just by looking at the transfer logs without ip checking/comparing tools.
or another delusion - people just see the last blocking/fining line in the transfer logs and think it's way too harsh. but most of the times these same people was already fined and/or warned about the same rule break some time ago deep in their logs. fortunately, their previous infringements are easily seen just like the ban history.
in short, when there is a word "Warning" in their penalty, this means they are making this particular mistake for the first time and there is still a hope for them to rethink their future actions. When the warning is ignored though... ain't much hope left. |
About history... There has also been times when you could murder someone of lesser status and get away with a fine, or even without a penalty at all.
That's what it felt like when there were no punishments at all, and I for one is happier now than before. |
| Admins should just ban all those who have been consistently cheating, irregardless of the amount, since they have shown their intention to gain an unfair advantage in the game through illegal means. Seriously, I do not see any reason why some (especially high level) players can just get slapped with a fine and continue playing when they should already be acquainted with the rules by then. |
