IMO this game is balanced in the sense that some faction are good at here, some are good at elsewhere. Necro are good at GB and Wiz are good at Blindfold. Maybe demon is a little bit overpowered, but it is the lease favor faction in this server, lol.
At last you should also remember no one force you join the tourney, if you don't like it, just stay away. Whining is always the coward's weapon.

Nonsense. As a Wizard with no access to piercing magic artifacts any barbarian with a solid FL and a cloak of Air Reistance should destroy me.
That I won one was pure luck since he had massive lags and lost several turns with some units.
Certain stuffs cannot be overcome regardless of tactical skill.
Even though I do not like it I am close to CL 10 which is why I will play it.
And I did not whine I stated facts.
That you are blind and go happily with rose coloured shades through this game is not my problem. |

As a wizard, I went 18-2.
I lost to a diamond using demon.
I also lost to another wiz - she got luckier with her genie castings than I did.
I only faced one barbarian and won that one - it helped that he afked for a bit during setup and missed his first orc turn also.
Tactics? Melee - just make sure that you are the one picking the time and place of the melee fight - also, make sure its in your favor.
On level 10, I'm 3-2 so far. |

I have tested it and Lightning with at least Basic Chaos magic and Spellpower at 14+ does more damage with enough spellpower plus it costs less.
Ice Clod scales horribly and costs 20% more. It's a spell for low spellpower caster or min art caster.
And even then it costs a lot. |
