Authorisnt lvl 10 unfair because of elves?
as i look on elves, i think the worst unit is treeman, because lots of the time is useless play in this game on defense, only attack count, so...
It's only because u do not have them, in true they are great, as druids better then bowmen, treemen are better then unicorns, the only defensive unit of that faction (well maybe druid u also can call defensive, but they range), and they help a lot on stopping the enemy and opens new tactics.

druids vs bowmen.... as i see it now:
bowmen have higher dmg then druids, so, are better in hunts
and propably in mg, tg

druids stone skins are great bonus, so, small of them i keep always

bowmens have few hit points, so i agree, is better take in pvp druids, because last longer, and are only little worse archers then bowmens
( its apply for higher levels)


i saw some battles with treemans, yes, they survive some time, when efk are killed, archers erased and nothing else then treemans doesnt live...
yes, you could use your hero, maybe cast and chat and be still in battle.... :-P

i think you only rarely will have chance to "root" enemy unit on spot, because treemans have low iniative, though arent low speed
damage is very low

true, i still didnt have chance to test it...
but i rather will take more unicorns then treemans, better dmg, higher ini, magic resistance, though then i have to watch them to be attacked with strong enemy unit:-)

so, i missing something?
why i have to take treemans?
Elves are not even that good after early game-play...until level 12...and a much better foe at level 14...for PvP anyway.

Because it is the only one defensive unit, in HoMM 3 there was dwarves, but here are FK, in hunt they are best protection for bowmen, and in PvP or MC they easily can root tough enemy (like griffins or cavalry), so they couldn't do more damage or run away, and then keep defending while other elvish units fight other enemy units, or shoots from close at rooted enemy, just there is different tactic - u do not need fink to how strike first or survive long enough to do massive damage whit them, u need to guess there enemy will strike and root then he comes close enough, and then u know your units well it's easy.
And maybe treeman has little initiative, but hi can go far enough

1. battle
yes, treemans dominate battlefield to root efk and unicorns
but battle is full of many tactic failures that made the final result of victory or defeat


2.battle
its not battle, its slaughtering
treemans doesnt play any role, only blocking archers, nothing special
i think, demon had low fsp, and elf have high elf fsp and some demon fsp
because elf had good defense and good dmg rolls, instead demon had bad dmg rolls
the battle looks like same when someone in full equip fight someone in mini ap


3. battle
i think, DE could have much more luck in deployment
treemans root lizard assailants, surprise is, thanks to it, had elf heavy losses and nearly lost .....
of course question is, if lizards free, not rooted, could do more dmg with their charge...propably yes
as always stone skins and shooting power win the battle

4. battle
here treemans root enemies death envoys and later apparations
but main reason of battle result is necromancer stupidity - bad battle main threats, and bad covering skeleton archers


on the end: treemans of course have their tactic options and in right situation it could be diiference betweem victory or defeat....
but i dont play 1 vs 1 ( je to jenom o tom, jak toho druhyho ojebat na necem, nuda); in hunts vs strong enemies it doesnt have sense too, if treemans are killed on first or second hit, rooting doesnt have sense
and in battles 3 vs 3 as i saw battles, doesnt play any main threat

but.... interesting was defensive build, really interesting. If points are invested in defense, buffed with +12 stonekins are then elves very durable, what is really change, because most of the time, are the elves first who leave the battlefield:-)

2: lol, the demon didn't know how to play well
Elves are extemely good to increase a necromancer reserve of skeletons. Elven bowmans are really good skel bowmans after you've killed them. If they could only continue to shoot twice a round...

26: i think, demon in battle 2 played not bad, just face in thief combat someone with full equip vs min ap....
other case is necromancer in battle 4, hopeless....

what is strange for me, is that very strong ability on early levels, raising deads doesnt have sense on higher levels (because low hp are raised)
but necro have erudition and thx to it, higher points in attack/defense ...
to tell the truth,
On level 10 almost every faction get a great tier 3 upgrade. But on level 8, there are more differences among factions. Every level and faction have its special things. on earlier levels, necro is very hard to kill because of raising units, knights get crossbow on level 8, incredible strong, with sworsd...on level 10, with guardians.
And isn't dark elf a cheat with shrews? Huuh? Every dark elf from lvl8 to lvl 14 hunt and kill with shrews the most.

Elf become very strong , and later more stronger, but remember this:

"there is always a better player"
