Demons are not so dependent on skill as knight, necro and wiz. I rarely used gating till incs.

but more gating is a big help(luring,retale,...) | As for me - no problem in thieving by DE on lvl 6 without shrews. I got lvl 2 in around 1 month (i think even faster). Didn't play many time a day - 1-3 hours. Used only 3 arts (8 ap). Now i still lvl 6 with 130+ sucsessful ambushes =)
