A specific other topic some weeks ago, about people joining groupbattles with full arts whereas the game was described to be for different people to join.
This topic was about unwanted accidents where people destroyed games and had easy wins. Somewhere there it was mentioned that fighting min AP against full AP is not forbidden, and not (according to rules) staged combat or anything like that.
So ... this guild can easy be exploited within the rules. Thats why i don't like the rewards to be SO high, whereas many people abusing that will have them for free nearly and very fast. Whereas others, not abusing it, won't have it. And by having the bonusses in a cheatable guild so high you shit on gamebalance in my eyes.
So, either the possible abusing has to be prevented, or rewards have to be kept low. |
Ideas and suggestions proposed by players multiple times:
2. Introduce options for arts/no arts combat types. Technical impossibility to join the "wrong" combat type.
Could tie it in with the introduction of that |
goign afk shouldn't deduct points unless you don't gain a reward again if you got a ductded point. cause someone might reach 50 won combats then go afk then win one more then go afk then win one more |

It was always suggested to make it possible for the host/gamemaker to set his game as he wants. But that doesnt prevent him wearing full arts and opening a min art game (or vise versa)

Thats no problem. These points are automatically removed again (so it is for erudition talent). Should be easily implemented. |
As I said before racial skill greatly depends on PvP battles. By your logic racial skill bonuses are to high and it shouldn't even work. Racial skill bonuses are even higher then I suggested for the new guild. But it does work. And new guild would work the same way.
I think that is impossible for someone who is only looking for easy battles to progress so fast. |
Racial skill only works when you fight this one class, so it does not give its effect as in the list for real. You are bound to play a specific class (a very high disadvantage). And therefor this new guild has (if the bonusses apply to the hero in all cases) to keep bonus low for not making it much more worth than all the others. |

you should also be able to place bets on duels. the higher your pvp level the more you can bid |
it's not nice to hijack other peoples threads hockey, and that suggestion has been suggested and shot down 2 times already (at least), I suggest you stop trying to push it through |

I still don't understand how do you think that the bonuses are to high. +4 primary skill points, + 8 talent points for 8 levels isn't high. If you look at racial skill it's possible to be fighting someone whit 8 racial skill against someone whit 0 racial skill. And racial skill bonuses are higher then for new guild. And it's still working. There will never be so much difference with new guild between players of the same combat level . If you level up whit new guild you will certainly get higher combat level as well. So I think that the new guild should work just fine.
And for the cheating issue, there will always be people who want to exploit the loop wholes in the system. But I don't think that the new guild will encourage more people to cheat. Sadly old cheaters will not stop :( |

Of course this will encourage more people cheat! Why should it not? More reward => more cheat (if possible)
If you really don't understand it, i will give you an example:
I guess you know MasterTI. He did Mercenary quests for around 1 year now. These Quests are hard and can't be done very often, besides them needing much time. And what did he get until now? 3 primary skill points (He just reached guildlevel 6) and some elements (effectively lets count them as money).
He had to work very hard and got 3 points. Your guild is very easily and much faster leveled and then shall give a much higher reward?
If you still think that your rewards are ok, then just let admins decide and you will see (when they are gonna do this they probably will think about this issue) that yours is too high. Unless they introduce a timer, like one duel/groupie per hour only (like for hunts). |
First of all, your suggestion about bonus reword (just skill points) is not much different from mine (and actually I took your idea about 1 point for every other level from you). Difference is that I believe that player should choose which point he wants, so he can create his one fighting stile.
8 talent points for 8 guild levels may or may not be to much, we don't know because we can't compare it whit any existing guild. I believe it's fine. For someone it means one whole extra talent.
Extra min/max damage is unbalancing and it shouldn't be implemented in to the new guild (or any existing guild what so ever). I didn't think about that all the way through.

Cheaters will always be, but I believe that if it is so easy to stage fights more people would cheat just for the experience and racial points. Adding new guild will encourage more people to fight PvP then it will encourage people to cheat. There are practically loop wholes everywhere in the game, is that mean that every part of the game should not exist because of the cheaters?
I don't think that this is so easy guild when you are fighting against your equals, but if it is, number of points that are required for leveling up can go higher. But the biggest problem may be how do players get points. |
I would suggest to remove the primary skill and make it with talentpoints only then, when you like them so much (of course i do aswell, cuz i just need 2 points for another talent ^^).
Talents give a much higher diversity to the players able tactics than just some attack/defence ...
So one could increase the gain of talentpoints but remove the primary skillpoints. This would give this guild a nice new/special colour.
My suggestion now (maybe one could talk about the needed points aswell):

idea is good but yes need to make calculations on what lvl should lvl up in this guild and what could be rewards.
Reward table could be the same as in thefting guild - just arts could be different. |
