Like Gyver I too take pleasure in cursing people, but necro units are weak.
Our rise ability became not our strenght, but our weakness. Because of the rise, our units are made weak to balance whit other faction. We have to rise and every time we rise our weak units become even weaker. We have to spend more points on knowledge to be able to rise. someone who doesn't want to use any spells has no choice and have to spend them on knowledge.
Even defence and attack of our troops are lower then the other factions. I understand the low hp, but why lower def/att? | As mentioned before, I agree that nec troops are weak. And raise dead isn't as useful as it might have been intended. Slow initiative troops combined with no moral is simply devastating. Also we don't get luck talents, so we are the only race with neither luck or moral, imo the most important stats of all. | for Ranor:
Finally someone saying that the Talent Wheel isnt balanced at all. Necro is the only faction that needs arts to get Luck. (Wizards can get them through mini arts). So no Morale and no Luck is definitly a disadvantage that you DONT have in the real game. Come on, why weakening a faction that is already weak ?. | Dan..
Think of the possbilities if necro had luck,with art + talents you can have 6 luck oO.....on the other hand not balanced again :S!
Offence wheel,battle furry on skeles,they would never of deal less than 1.5k dmg.....again not balanced :S!

Bringing up the durability only makes the arguement fickle..You do realize that Luck miniart would have to be applied to each and every stack. In that case you would be losing out some other attribute.A necro on the other hand would have to simply eqiup one or more ring to give luck to entire army..
Also if it were double or triple miniart, the cost would be 4x and 9x respectively..The total cost would end up being the same in the long run.. | the talent wheel simply sux, just wait until the "testing" period is over | I can't see what's wrong with necros... as for DE I would never chose them, especially at level 10 they suck hards down.
Minos? Killed before they can attack by incend, guardians, shooters, or tier 5 stacks.
Hydras? Never do anything until the end and if there is a quarter decent shooter stack alive the hydra is useless.
Lizards? Great once you get assailants. Before then thought, hell horse, roc or unicorn will kill them first
Shrews are great of course, but they only get one or two turns to attack, and then the DE is helpless.
My experience at level ten- Unless you're facing triple demon, triple DE is killed by just about anything, and when a team with DE wins, the DE get s about half as much exp. | ... and that's why you can change factions...
I started as necro, was unbeatable from lvl 5-7 in pvp...
at level 8 some troubles started, but I compensated it with mass poison... (NEAT STUFF!!!)
every faction has its up and downs...
for wizz - lvl 7
for DElf - lvl 5-6
for knight - lvl 9
for elf - every level after 8
for barb - 1st 5 levels
for demon - level 7

man... resistance to all, "Jack of all trades"... | I believe that lack of high lvl necros is caused also by slower leveling. Necro is very versatile faction, however it costs them XP in hunts and PvP. All players on necro's side benefits from necro's mass disruption ray or mass whatever, he just don't have enough "firepower" to deal lots of damage.
For me, hunts are fun and I must confess that lvl 10 was much more fun than lvl 9 and 8.
I am not thinking about switching faction until I reach racial lvl 9.
Btw, somebody mentioned how wonderful ring of doubts is and that it's made for necros and necros only. I disagree, lvl 10 might ring is at least as good as ring of doubt, however, RoD could be wielded since lower level. | ^^ 34: It's seems not enough to have "Jack of all trades" only, elwira lose in last 3 her lv.10 group battles and some PvP ambush. elf is not weak high level...why does everyone think so?
demon- 5 (6 is a piece of cake, 50%+ more succ, 7 is fine, can beat elf, barb, wiz, knight, necro...DE very easy, I remember all my battles. Knight, shoot bows down, grif attack spawn wall, shoot grif, finish with wolf, regruop kill sword, necro, retal on vamps, kill. succ and skel are matched. get 2 miss on ghost and wolf attack- finish skel if necessary. elf, shoot bow, take FK with wolf, and finish druids/bows with gatings and such. Wiz- succ are killed by wizard and magi, wolf attack golem, gatings, hero and 1-2 succ kill magi, finish garg. DE. pretend its a hunt, let them come, very simple. barb. succ win vs. orc, even if orc takes retal, then attack. gate, attack back, now orcs take retaliation and succ don't. succ win. let the hobs and ogre coem wait for perfect moment, take retal off ogre, spam with everyone, gating kill hob. Really easy, had NO problems level 7, everything destroyed easily :D | @30
OK Ring of doubt can be no substitut for lack of talent wheel, cause in higher evels, there are better arts than ring of doubt and other factions can use them and still get luck and or moral from talents.

Yeah nec was fun in level 7 and posion nec was even more fun in pvp. But DE can use these as well and even lowers resistance + he can use elemental spells if enemys are spread wide or are "unliving".

sure I can play a nec as a supporting carackter in pvp, but that will not be rewarded by the game, since only the troops you kill yoursellf count against your exp and racial skill points. | guys necros have great troops.
Skeletal bowmen, very strong shooter. Get an enchanted longbow if 300 damage isn't enough for you.
Lich, amazing especially with luck. The rings of doubt aren't bad.
Vampire- full might vampire, especially counts, are no laughing matter...especially against demons with smaller gating stacks those things will never die...
Appa- Not the greatest obviously, but until you play non-necro, against a necro, you'll never fully appreciate incorporeal.
Envoys are undoubtly better than cave demons... 5 speed? 8 initiative? agh.. they suck! :D
Strong points are lich and skels. I'd max them if I were necro, and add a 40% enchant longbow, necro=beast :D
