Author105% magic protection?

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that magic resist, proof, and barbarian magic shield all stack according to the resist formula.
The way all the different magic resistance stuff are adding up, we might not get 100%, but it's sure gonna be darn close to it. haha..
But the better question is: why spend so much on these enchantments hehe

There aren't many magic casters doing PvP...and even a "net" 30% shield reduces most magic damage to "bearable" amounts.

Most Magic Casters die well before they use up all their mana anyway because of how imbalanced the magic damage is in PvP. So until they bridge the gap between Melee vs Magic builds (if ever) I wouldn't be too concerned.

Ok, now that we have that sorted out, can some kind soul give me a real life example:

Let's say I have a shield with 10% enchanted air magic shield.

How much damage would a high level caravan enemy Hero deals me if it uses say, a lightning spell on 1 of my troop, if -

1) I'm not wearing any other type of magic protection.

2) If I'm wearing a Cape of Wind.

If can't calculate the exact damage dealt with just this info, can I have some rough estimates so I can decide if it's worth paying a LOT of gold for that extra 10% (element) magic shield.

Assuming this high level caravan enemy Hero deals 100 points of lightning damage normally (for ease of calculation)

1) Only wearing a shield with 10% enchanted air magic shield.

100 -(100*10%) = 90 points

2)I'm wearing a Cape of Wind. & a shield with 10% enchanted air magic shield.

100 - ( 1- (1-0.1)(1-0.25))*100 = 100 - 32.5%*100 = 67.5 damage

if it is 105% it will give u 5% hp lol
1-(1-0.2)(1-0.2)(1-0.2)(1-0.2)(1-0.25)
=0.6928

This one is the right math.

I was wearing 3 enchanted armors:
Light mithril coif [E4A4]
Platemail [A5W5]
Light mithril boots [A4F4]

My air shield is 1-(1-0.08)*(1-0.1)*(1-0.08)= 0.238 = 23.8%

The interesting parts are:
Magic proff is calculated as 5% + 5% = 10%
And enchanted weapon damage is calculated as 1-(1-0.1)*(1-0.07)*(1-0.07) = 0.222 = 22.2% too
(I was wearing 3 enchanted weapons:
Mithril longsword [I10E10A10W10]
Thief dagger [E7A7W7]
Longbow [E7A7W7])
