Hunting is important on lvl 1-2 - to take advantage of hunts 3 times more often than normal, and also to make a habbit to enroll often.
Afterwards anyone is free to do as they please. Up to lvl 10+, where low number of players means that most of the time is spent "in the forest" hunting mobs, and not in PvP. Still, even there PvP exists. | so, you are playing your character with a fast way. that's your choice. no one gonna stop you.
but i prefer play on a slow way, i enjoy my game slowly in my own style. earning the bonus stats, having good income on enroll, running around to do MG quest, blaming on card game and roulette, posting on forum and chat. all those are part of the game features.
do you have the right to take those away from me just because you level too fast? of course not, why should i follow your path.
i spending my time to build my character, that's your problem if you dont do so. we still have alot players doing in fast way. anyway, i seldom found any complaints from them. | Hunting is important on lvl 1-2 - to take advantage of hunts 3 times more often than normal, and also to make a habit to enroll often.
I've yet to understand why hunting three times more often constitutes any "advantage". As far as I understand, neutral creatures grow 30% each time you defeat them, period. It's the same thing if you hunt once per day or ten times a day.
People hunting like madmen on low levels are just reaching faster the point where they have to level up to stand any chance against neutrals.
I'm not sure +1 attack from a better Hunters' Guild level changes anything.
But you are right about the habit to enroll: new players should understand the value of gold and build up their treasury for later levels. The earlier the better. | @ matheusalgarve:
You can really level up fast, wether will it be on early levels, or on later levels.
As a DE, faction skill is rather useless, and as long as you do just a few hunts in order not to have a too low hunt guild level (say 2 lvl of difference with standart players won't change much).
For laborer, it don't change much for the stats; +1 def for hundreds or thousands of enrols is crap. That's the same for merc quests.
I find it better to level up fast on early levels (most boring ones), and later on, to spend more time on PvM.
As you level up, you unlock more units, spells, arts, battle types, as said Kotrin, and game strategy is much more developped. Even hunts can become funny (tough ones... Like hunting thousands of farmers ;)).
Furthermore, in a way, even for factions that require a slow leveling, because of the need of a high faction level, I find it not that much boring. For exemple, it's a pleasure to finally buy one of those so expensive mini arts, or to get those genies after so much time doing hunts / merc quests.
In the end, if you don't feel like doing much PvM, you should mainly consider it as a way to get funds for buying a decent art set for PvP (think that at about lvl 7, many players will play with a full set in PvP), but you can doubtlessly do many PvP, it won't penalize you that much; at least, not enough for stats to prevail on strategy.
One last thing, IMO, the main advantage of doing hunts on early levels is to get fast and easy gold... Because you don't have to pay arts set. However, this is a wiz point of view :) | Furthermore, in a way, even for factions that require a slow leveling, because of the need of a high faction level, I find it not that much boring.
You are right. I forgot to write about it, but some factions have an "intermediate" bonus when they cross a new faction level:
Necros: New skellies!
Knights: New farmers available!
Wizards: New mini-artifacts!
Demons: More gated troops!
...And it's a goal all in itself.
Getting a new faction level in these factions might be an interesting challenge if you are stuck in the boredom of level 7 or 9.
Getting a new faction level for Elves, Dark Elves or Barbarians is very UN-impressive (Oh, I've got 33% magic resistance instead of 28%... great...) | Well, for elves it's also interesting^^ Because of 4% more chance for a bonus-luck-hit,in a way^^ | Hunter guild gives you more options to fight, as well as chance to loot great artifact.
Labor guild is a must to afford higher lvl(7+) AP pt. | Hunting is important on lvl 1-2 - to take advantage of hunts 3 times more often than normal, and also to make a habit to enroll often.

I can only completely agree. If I remember right, I did spend WEEKS doing hunts and losing each time, hoping that in two or three months I'll finally get into the next level, where you can stop doing only hunts, because this is supposed to be "the right way". I put all my money in arts and I did still lose against the hunts.
Than I got bored to dead and did one group battle. I reach the next level and starts to have fun again.
As already told: The fast way will always win against playing the slow way in a duel, because the fast way will have much more level. But the slow way will win against someone that is playing the fast way and has the same level (so he did play less). | Just two things here I don't agree with :)
Doing hunts to earn money doesn't seem to work at higher level or am I missing something?
At lvl 8 i need 8 AP and the cheapest way seems to be the Sword of Might.
This costs me about 30000 to buy and has 80 Dur that means it costs me over 370 per fight - OK I can resell it at (half price?) but in any case I certainly won't make any money with hunts.
The other thing I don't agree with is that is seems so easily accepted that at higher lvl there are less players.
I mean of course there are less but it seems there are a lot less which might indicate there is a problem.
Maybe small changes at higher levels would persue players to stay but I guess its incredible hard to introduce changes and keep balance ... | Sword of Might cost per battle is 130 gold. I get that and more for my hunts. Although the Doing hunts to earn money thing was suggested with regards to lowlevel players.
There are less players at high levels because it takes longer to get there. Going from lvl 1 to lvl 5 isn't the same as going from 5 to 10. | Don't get me wrong - I like this game and don't really have a problem :)
Also my math are probably not very accurate but its not 130 gold per Sword of Might, you seem to forget the around 15000 for the minerals but we agree anyway that Hunts is not for money.
Also I didn't include the resell price and the occasional artifact. | Also I didn't include the resell price and the occasional artifact.
And that is your mistake. The only thing wrong with my calculculations is that I used old price for mercury - and that makes all artifacts sold (at least partially) for it cheaper. | At level 8, the sword of might is not the cheapest way. Light axe, Defender Shield, Medal of Bravery, Leather Armor is cheaper I think. But thats not the point.
I really dont think it is just as simple as that. On higher levels there are lot of players, but they just dont WANT to do group battles. You can find 3 times more hunt assistance offers than group battles. I think it is because people have already learned the factions/ number of AP, they can or cannot win against and then just dont join the 95% lost battle which takes 1 hour and gets them 0,12 sp. | i still hunt for money xD now that my loots are usually 300+, including resource |
