16~177:[MasterTI]: But my speed 19 hydra was amazing aye chris
.... |
it is not about i guess:P it is like this : impossible to win when enemy can move from 2.2 to 9.9 suppose enemy is at 2.2 go to microsoft exel or draw the table at a paper, it is the speed 11 needed so the enemy reaches 9.9 and it is for sure , too easy question masterT1 :P |
sorry for the double posting but even if the enemy initative is 0.1 u will surely die at speed 11 he will reach all not all the map but all the inside of the map exept the borders 1.1 and 10.10 which ur unit will be there and die there:P |
for rashad:
Well your obvisouly wrong because if you read the above post it goes alot higher than 11 |
ok fine i change mine 2 11 even though he said 12 |
really it depends, for example, IF we have a smart creature in this game (havent seen it so far, but IF)
that creature is smart, so if you try the hit and run tactic, it doesnt follow you, but it walks to the MIDDLE of the map, you only need 7 speed to cover the whole map then :P
but luckily those creatures dont excist :D |
I would say it's 255 if the creature is stuck, but actually depends on what mysql data type developers used to store it. I would use UNSIGNED TINYINT so the max speed should be 2^8 e.g. 255. |
30 Well if it was stuck, it still wouldn't be impossible to win because you can keep attacking with hero.
and here is the 19 speed hydras at the end of the battle

for eektor:
btw my answer is the speed doesn't determine whether it is possible to win or not.
You gave a smart answer, care to explain why the speed doesnt determine it possible to win or not. |
32
The speed will determine whether you can run away or not. After you can't run anymore (for gargs around 7, de with shrews I guess its 11 or 12) it all comes down to how much hps you have left. |
Because u can still kill it even if it can hit u anywhere on the map lol |
for eektor:
Yeah but what i mean when i say explain it, is what is the maximum speed once you cant escape anymore. In such a way there has to be a max speed doesnt there? |
30 Well if it was stuck, it still wouldn't be impossible to win because you can keep attacking with hero.
I believe the context of the situation is that you must be able to survive a creature or stack of creatures that will not be dead by the time it reaches the speed at which it can hit you from anywhere; and also assuming that if it does hit you you will not win the game. Therefor, that scenario would be invalid to the cause because you are getting hit by a trapped creature. If you were subject to the hypothetical scenario, getting hit at all would indicate a loss.
However this needs further thinking. I'll get back to ya :) |
The question:
#1 What is the maximum speed a creature can reach before it becomes impossible to win anymore.
The answer:
Unlimited.
If you can withstand the attacks, then speed doesn't matter. |
Honestly I think 13 is the answer. I don't need to give my reasoning, as it would not allow others to come to the same conclusion on their own :) |
12 baby |
My guess it's 10. why? cos the fastest are dragons, with speed 9.
So, if the enemy get 10, the drags can't do hit and run. |
