could be, who knows? :) |
I take it the joke is his wizard faction level? Funny but I've heard better. |
As Urgone said..
Faction skill is very imp for wizards. At Combat level 5 u should be faction lvl 4. (or very close to it)
It makes a huge difference..:) |
Woah man, wizards, the assistant I least prefer since they will pretty much hog all the Exp and FSPs. It's your Faction skill as people say. Wiz is probably the only job class which requires super-high fidelity XD |
they will pretty much hog all the Exp and FSPs
You can say the same for elves too ;) |
thinks for wizard, most damage is done by the hero, that's why facion skill is really important the rest of troops is here to "tank", and with some chance, your magi well splited and well placed on field should be able to kill enough of your enemy damage dealer stacks.
but you know each faction has big problems against some others |
I think the tactics is important, Elvens u can play more defensively coz u have elvens bowmen, but u know, with Knights u can win the Challenging even .. Also with Wizards .. U can find Randhy-Wang and TheHolyPaladin in Top hunter list .. In Challenging Hunting .. and I can win without any arts even .. hehe .. just tactics man ..
For wizards see this one : PG_FAKIR . he is great ... |
^^ There's a difficulty balance:
Elf or necro to hunt.
Demons or knights to thief.
Barbarians Wizards to mercs.
DE to trouble.
But it'll also depend on your combat/skill level. |
27,
Elvens u can play more defensively coz u have elvens bowmen
An Elf who plays defensive will soon be a dead Elf!
The power of Elven Bowmen are to shoot first and deal a great damage in the beginning, not to wait and play defensive |
A thread called "Class balance, a joke" written by a level 5 character only?
Please come back when you have some solid experience. By then, you'll perhaps understand that each class has advantage over others in a rock/paper/scissors fashion, and that they also behave differently in various battle environments (mech quest, hunt, duels, group battles.)
Perhaps. |

Doesn't everyone fire their arrows on the defense? XD
I mean, no one's gonna just sit there and do nothing even when playing defensive. |
31,
Read what I quote. This can be misleading.
Sometimes, we have to wait to get the enemy in range... yes, it is true.
But it is not defensive.
When you are facing 2000+ enemies, and you wait.. you are history |

true that, yet to see many actually do that though, just once. |
Well right now I have ZERO chance on any merc quest I've seen to date. Yea probably only because I have faction level 2, which feeds right into another thread I was reading how heavily characters are penalized if they switch factions at combat level 5 or later.
So right now, my encounters are geared at combat level 5, but I only have faction level 2. So I am stuck soloing gray and green (and sometimes losing to green) while always asking for help yellow and up. Until my faction level gets up to L4, in which case I'll probably be combat level 6 and still in the same situation.
Yep, it seems this game has very little flexibility if you want to succeed, a nice simple linear path to success. This again in indicated by the wizards be the top hunters - sure they can be cause they did the cookie cutter wizard model, no thought involved. |
Yes, I agree the amount of exp and skill pts is due to his low fraction lv
but
from my necro view, I do not join an elf hunt asstist cos I get very little skill pts for hunts.
they take out most of the hunt w high inti and favoured enemy talent
tat is even w/out efk, w efk(unthinkable...)
and w the current AP rule, even not worth it to hunt assist.
unless the hunt is a long range monster which attk elf bow 1st.
I can only expect 1.7 skill pts or less.
from my exp lv 7 and below.
So every fraction have it's pro and cons.
U juz have to live w it or ask yr frenzs tat is not an elf to hunt assist u.. |
35:
just join elf when ur demon fighting mistresses :)
all the chain goes on elf...spike their blockers and watch them die, then finish xDDD |
36:
Actu I agree tat demon is the best fraction in the game.
juz my opinion, others might say no such thing as best fraction.
w gating and strong attks and magic casting heros, mana sucking spawns.
too much for most fractions esp necros.
for Gorere
Wizard is worse so change fraction fast.
w the new AP rules. hard for u to cpend money on thy mini arts.
lol^^ |

I watched your fight vs Necromancers-Invaders to get an idea of how you play:
- magi in 1 stack... ( clearly no idea how magic punch works? )
- 0 spellpower/knowledge gear
- all creatures were placed in adjacent squares, quite nice food for liches
- you started attacking zombies before they even reach you halfway and left archers and vampires hitting you freely
with that kind of tactics you would lose even with wizard faction level 7 vs that quest...
if you want to learn how to play a new faction, find some high level guy of that faction and go check how he/she played on your combat level to get some ideas. |
@Gorere
I'm at the same lvl as you and I got no problem to go even with an elf at an hunt. Nor do I have any problem clearing any yellow hunts.
Your problem is as pointed out, faction level or tactics.
All that said, if you feel that Wizards are that bad, why not go back to Elf?
Obviously its something you feel to be a lot stronger then your current faction and something you have played before. |
Gorere

You are only level 5, most factions have trouble with merc quests at this level, lol, wait untill you are level 6. |
