Yes definitely would be more efficient doing training battles than to wait for hunt assists that always pop up evrywhere else than where you are, sometimes have to wait hours to get a few assists and max 0.25skillpts...
else have to suicide in mercenary quests /hunts and thats not cool.
That way those people who wanna attain high levels fast they can skip that training, and those who want to be skillfull they can stay use training battles. Yes good idea rewarding winers a slight bonus skillpoints.
Training battles and why not minigames too. Or help-your-faction-quests. Or big fights that you could do with fellows of same faction. up to 3 players versus computer mobs. its for more varied action from time to time and more fun and with more skillpoints bonuses than short training battles to compensate time invested. I agree that Robai ideas are the easier ones to implement. |
We have to agree about the cost. I feel like if I were grumpy I would still stick to hunt assists and do twice 0.25 or suicide in merc quest and get 0.49 skill points rather than pay 1000 gold for 0.5/0.3 skillpoints and thats too bad because many would do that (especially those with low laborer skill for who paying for a training session would represent many hours of work in which they could get many hunts+hunt assist anyway). We all not always lucky with roulette either. Also not sure that people paying 2,000 gold so that training partners could join for free will be many.
So for this training battles to work they shall be easily available not too expensive or it should go with another update that provides extra income safer than roulette (was thinking about caravan quests or alchemy=D). |

Main idea for Training Room:
1) You don't get any combat experience (you gain only faction skill points)
2) Skill points gained shouldn't be very big (0.3 for winner and 0.2 for loser)
3) Those battles shouldn't be free and creator of battles decides how much he will pay: from 25% to 75% (all players should pay something)
4) I’m not sure how much gold those battles should cost (1000 gold per battle should be enough).
Maybe there should be a limited number of players, because Training Room has only limited space. So there should fight only those players who pay more gold (like in auction).
Or this way:
a) if there is no one fighting then the price is only 200 gold
b) if there are fighting 4 pairs (1vs1) of players then the price is 1000 gold
c) every pair raises cost additionally +200 gold
Example:
If there are 3 pairs already fighting then the price for additional battle is 800.
You are creator of battle and decide to pay 75%, which is 600. The player, who will join you will have to pay 25% = 200 gold.
What do you think of that? |
I wouldnt pay 1000 gold for a battle that gives less than a suicide on neutrals :D
remember we are trying to make something to make wining more attractive.
why should should there be a cost for that. it even less interesting skillwise than the old 0.49 sp suicide battles ?
more skills and free yes ppl would do that else dont expect many ppl. |
Well there SHOULDNT be many ppl. Many ppl may suicide like they want) But,for example, I dont go in groups on my 4lvl cause I want to raise faction and hunter points, and the lower exp I get - the better. For knight, mages the need for SP is even bigger than for us necro's. So - SP is the most precios thing in the game, the diamonds and mercury go to 2nd and 3rd place after it) So - gaining it can be free of exp, but have some other price. 1000 for battle is enough. Or, you could make the loser pay the whole sum for battle ;) It would encourage winning and improving game skill. |
omg ok i see i got 1089 vitories and 62 defeats, i can still suicide 1027 times before being a loser right? lets do it because its cheaper XD |

why don't you make the cost for the training chamber relative to the level of the character? (or faction level, depending on which we're dealing with)
And perhaps it would be better to have a training room similar to our duel room, in which you pay a fee to enter a battle. Where the fee is the same whether you created the training session or joined it.
This seems to me to be a better choice than a 25%-75% split or something or other. |
why don't you make the cost for the training chamber relative to the level of the character? Because we will see LOTS of 2lvl mages and necros with 5+ laborers guild and 7+ fraction level. And the game itself will end in lvl 2.
The only idea that would work is that in 'duel' training 100% of fee pays the player who lost the duel. So that overpowered 2-3lvls just wont train(no1 will join them), but will grow or suicide as usual. |
I think training should be for free.
Now it is possible to increase your FSP very easily by losing and it is for free. And many players admire those losers because they think that losers are very patient and work very hard.
Training would also take lots of time, so only very patient players would increase their FSP by much. Also, in training you would have to win to get FSP so it is harder than losing (but more respectfull).
The amount of FSP should depend on the difficulty of the battles you enter. If you choose to fight only easy battles than you should get small amounts of FSP (say 0.05), if you fight very hard battles then you should get higher amounts (say, 0.3). |

i like the idea for training ur faction skill for 50 per battle but not for xp then the duels and group battles would be more unless and the faction points earnd should be low |
this idea was great...but if they implement this the latest update will be useless...
the admin's update was to restore balance in this game....
y???if a knight at lvl 3 with 5 faction lvl....it will be a lot stronger...
they increase the experience rate and decrease fsp exp when losing to balance ur fsp to ur lvl....
maybe this idea was imposible...even if you pay 1000 gold...which is meaningless.....
if anybody can increase fsp.....
a knight lvl 3 with 8 faction lvl...can beat a lvl 6 dark elf...
with balacne faction lvl....
the last major update is for BALANCE>..... |
